no they wont black out hog games...but in arkansas they block out regional sec games that are on FSN...because we get FSN southwest..not South

Which makes absolutely NO sense.  Arkansas was once a member of the SWC, but that sure as hell doesn't make the state a "southwest" state....

Up here....it's Big 10 (which I don't have a problem with) and the MAC (which I do).

I am going to buy GamePlan simply because I will simply be able to watch more Hog games without having to wait for a tape of the game....which is what I have been doing for years.

So any way to tell which Hog games we would get with GamePlan that won't be televised elsewhere?

I'll check....

I know that they withhold actual games that will be televised for some games....I'll post a link when I find it.

Fumble..Vandy recovers on the 2 yard line.

Best news of the day so far.  God I hate 'Bama.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I keep flipping from the Clemson BC game to the Vandy Alabama game.  The later has my rooting interest, the former is a better game.

So far, so good.  Tennessee over Cal was nice last week, as was Georgia Tech covering.

This could turn into a very good day for football;  Ole Piss has already been kicked by a glorified mid-major; Vandy could bushwhack Alabama;  Iowa may well be on its way to another September Swan-Dive.

Alas, Notre Dame seems to be having their way with PSU, but you can't have everything.

Just hopped on here guys, so I don't know the tone of the thread, other than everybody hates Cox cable, but I don't think Vandy is gonna be a pushover next week. Whoever coaches q.b.'s at Vandy knows what they are doing. This Nixon kid is GOOD, and looks like they've got some athletes to go with him. Hogs are gonna have to strap 'em on tight in Nashville.

Another Alabama WR injury.  Ug.  Don't like 'em, but I hate seeing anyone get hurt.

Dangit.   Maybe Vandy can at least use it like a good punt, to flip the field.

What all games does GamePlan cover?

GamePlan primarily covers the ABC regional games each week.  They also pick-up the SEC's LFS Game of the Week as well as the ACC's Raycom-LFS Game of the week.  The BCS conferences have contracts to have games carried by GamePlan and they also will carry games from WAC, MAC and SunBelt.  I think the C-USA and Mtn West have both signed all of their games over to CSTV.  In addition, they have a contract w/ the SEC which stipulates that any SEC school who has a PPV must make it available to GamePlan.  This was the reason given last year for the UofA not allowing Auburn to PPV from RRS - they didn't want the game to be seen in AR.

As for the blackouts, the ABC game in your area is always blacked out.  The LFS game for both SEC and ACC are blacked out in the markets where they have a station carrying the game.  The PPV games are blacked out in the state of the team originating the telecast.

The best site that I have found for knowing what games are on and where is:
http://mattsarz44017.tripod.com/football2006.html
Matt is a college sports fan and just as a hobby he lists all of the games.  His site has gotten so popular that he has the networks contacting him about his information.  He provides not only the games, but also the affiliates for the LFS games and coverage maps for the ABC games and GamePlan games.

Wish it would have been enough to prevent the FG, but at least it'll get that defense off the field for a while.  Vandy could really use a 7 minute TD drive here :)

Yes.

5 minutes to go-- I guess we'll see just how healthy Darby really is here-- I've been underwhelmed with him both this week and last.

Both.  Alabama's running game has been very flat-- Darby has been mediocre at best.   Passing game, they can maybe be somewhat dynamic by the end of the year, but their new QB John Parker Wilson makes poor decisions.

Vandy has a pretty good sophmore QB-- reminds me a bit of a DJ Shockey type player.

No depth.  They're worn out.

Its not quite over yet.  In theory, they could get the ball back, but it will be a tall order to go down the field and score, even if they do hold Bama.
