Watching it now;  on a little bit of a delay, as the online broadcast tends to lag behind the TV broadcasts a bit.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Young QBs.   Everyone has one, this year, it seems.

Vandy doesn't have enough offense to win, but their D is not bad.  Alabama's offense is nothing special.

Not that I know of;  I am watching it via ESPN Gameplan.

Well see, there's your problem. What you should be thinking is, what would Harry Rex do?

Is Darby still hurting?

He looks ok.  His sprain during the fall practices wasn't expected to hamper him, and hasn't visibly yet.

I really hope that we have a close game here;  I'd like to see both sides pull out all the stops, and not be able to file away any of the gadgets for the next couple of weeks.

We should beat Vandy and Alabama.  At least Houston better hope so.

After watching Ole Piss and MSU, that'd gaurantee a conference season of .500 or better.

No idea offhand, just know that he's not back yet, and I don't believe they expect him back soon.

I still think Shula made a boneheaded decision by keeping him in that game last year. He is the #1 person to blame if this young man's career is ruined.

Tusks

If the Hogs lose to both these teams they should just cancel the season.  I don't think either of them are in the bag.

We should be 3-1 going into the Auburn game.

Dang, boys.  Of our next two opponents, the Commodores are actually looking better.  They didn't have a D like this last year.  I ain't skeered or nothin', but they're playing well.

Van 10 Bama 3 with :14 in Second Quarter

If this continues, looks like Vandy may come into next weeks game with a little confidence.

i dont think Bama is that explosive...i cant watch i have cable..and on pay per view is blacked out in arkansas..but on yahoo it was saying they rushed up the middle like 8 out of 10 plays...is HDN the OC at bama??

Yeah, they look to be the better offense, but have really been taking advantage of boneheaded plays by the Bama offense, more than stopping them cold.   Still, I don't know how much of this is Alabama making them look good, vs. actually being good.

Even if Bama were to win, with that lackluster offense, I can't see them covering a full 16 point spread against anyone.

Vandy really didn't lose anyone special on offense other than Cutler.  Alabama has a lot of young players.  Either way, HDN can't afford to lose to either team.  Everybody had those penciled as wins.

I hope your right, but you are more optimistic than me. Vandy held a good Michigan team to 27 points, where we got 50 hung on us.

u are right erie...i posted saying that a lot of money is to be made betting the dog to cover v. bama...cashed in on hawaii last week...gonna cash in this week with vandy...more money is won on Underdogs in college football that favs...esp in the sec

After we dropped one to Vandy last year I would hate to see how negative things get if we lost this year.  Even with Cutler, we shouldn't have lost.  Bottom line IMHO we should NEVER lose to Vandy or Kentucky.

What all games does GamePlan cover?

ErieHog

GamePlan covers about 250 games a season; you can get it online or via your Cable/Satellite provider.

They usually release the schedules a couple of weeks in advance; the Arkansas v. Vanderbilt game is slated to be shown next week.

And I'm a Hogvillian finally!

Of all the "hot seat" talk, why is Shula never mentioned?  He's never won against Auburn.  I can't imagine they'll stand for that too much longer.

Finishing in the Top 10 last year, and winning 10 cooled off his seat considerably.  If they loose to Vandy, I do think it'll be a might bit warmer Sunday morning than it has been in some time.

Now...that's an ouch!  I don't think they "black out" Hog games up here, but they do "regionalize".

I'm paying for the ESPN GamePlan....because I have too.

I'll just have to change my preference to Basil Hayden back to Jim Beam...

The sacrifices we must endure.

hawg23

no they wont black out hog games...but in arkansas they block out regional sec games that are on FSN...because we get FSN southwest..not South

So any way to tell which Hog games we would get with GamePlan that won't be televised elsewhere?

ErieHog

The failure on 3rd and 10 there by the Vandy D reminds me a bit of what the Hog D did in the last minutes of the Vandy game last year.
