Go State!  Both defenses look like good typical SEC defenses-fast.

Now double Rice on 3rd down.

What's the story on Smelley?  Wasn't he highly recruited?

Smelley was a 4 star athlete by Rivals. No. 8 prostyle QB in the nation. the number 13 recruit in alabama.

nwarazfan

Now State calls a timeout out of a timeout.  These are two crappy programs.

I agree, poor game management

Kinda reminds me of us at times...

I'm trying not to go 'dark' for a few days but you are correct.

Watching theese offenses is making me feel like ours is leaps and bounds better.

Hawg_Heaven

Now who said that South Carolina was going to beat us?  ??? I sure hope we aren't that bad as bad as they look tonight.

They were this bad last year especially in Fayetteville.  We know why we lost that one to a team with 187 yards of total offense.

Hollywood_HOGan

that was an unreal catch #11 of SC made just now.

WOW!

One of the most mismanaged games Ive ever seen.

Whoa there. We havnet seen our offense yet.

Ours may look like what we're seeing on tv right now.

Hope not but its likely

Spurrier looked like he was ready to punch Smelley in the face.

Spurrier is the same guy who constantly threatened to bench a guy playing well enough to win a Heisman.   I don't think he'd ever be happy with a QB's play.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

State is running our last years offense

I hope we aren't seeing a glimpse of our pass protection in State tonight.  My gosh that is pitiful.

Put Omar Connor back at QB STATE!

Is it just me, or is Boston College now becoming Michigan Lite?   Media love them, talk about how solid they are every year, that they'll break through someday and win an ACC divisional title-- then they go out and get drilled by the elite teams in their conference.

I just dont know what to think about this game. Is MSU and USC both this bad or are theri defenses pretty darn good. MSU's offense just looks horrible. SC's offense has life but barely.

Both offenses stink.  The difference is that Carolina has talent, but its just not developed, so they're looking equally as terrible against a pretty salty MSU Defense

I've heard some pundits say that South Carolina could win the SEC East this year.

Their defense looks very good....but the offense looks horrible, and that is Spurrier's forte.

I know it's only the 1st game, but unless Mississippi Stae is a juggernaut, South Carolina is in trouble.

The Pulse

Hmmm..Miss st. looks like us last year. They just can't pass the ball.

Whatever happened to that Ryan Perriloux transfering to MSU rumor?

score??????

3-0.   A three run home run by Sidney Rice.  Winner goes on to the CWS

DAMN IT BOY...Did yall see that kid drop that beautiful pass from the freshman?!?!

The Pulse

Give Rutland the starting Job. Screw Hennig

The Pulse

I love how straight of a shooter Croom is. He tells it like it is No smokescreens. Michael Henig's shoulder might be broken.

CDubyaP

Miss. State starting QB (Connor) out with a possible broken shoulder.

Guess I heard it wrong...It's Hennig.

Do I remember right that John Thompson resigned at Carolina at the end of the season?  Anybody know where he ended up?

Yeah, It's Michael Henig. (I spelled it wrong) He was the starting QB. Conner has moved to WR and Punt Returns. But if that one pass was any indication of Rutlands abilities...they just might be better off with him.

i have noticed that the changes in time management by the officials has caught the teams off-guard a couple times. are we prepared for this so we arent wasting timeouts or getting delay of game penalties.

Lots of teams will be ready now that they've seen it on national TV.
