A couple of my bow kills. The turkey weighed 18 pounds with an 9 1/4 inch beard. Shot him at ten steps.

My dad has recently moved to south Arkansas to help my grandfather out. Being the avid hunter/fisherman he is he has put up one of those night camera things in the back yard. When I see him next weekend I will post some unbelievable pictures from about 20 feet our his back porch.

My oldest son got his Christmas presents early... a .270 and a fine buck.  I heard a shot at 7a.m. but he didn't follow instructions and contact me via walkie-talkie.  When I headed towards his stand at the agreed time of 9a.m. he was jumping up and down wanting to know where I'd been so long.

MB is that his first buck?

Boy, i can't wait till the day our son, then daughters, kill their first, i'll be one proud papa those days.....

that's a pretty good one tho..i bet you were proud.

8 point from this year. Had to get him quartered and on ice in a hurry cause if you'll look at the date, you'll notice something.....LSU tailgaitin in " :razorback:The Rock :razorback:" Luckily I got him real early. I was walking to my stand in the dark and all of a sudden I hear crashing through the woods coming straight at me. It was a deer that I had jumped but I obviously couldn't see it due to the dark so I sat down in the trail and I could hear another deer out in front of me. I waited about 15 minutes to the point where it was still dark but I could see to walk to my stand and I decided that's what I would do. I got in the stand about 10 minutes before the sun came up and put out an Tink's scent bomb and started grunting as soon as the sun came up. We set the stand up two years ago and I've killed 4 deer off it. Only one problem my dad shoots left handed and I'm a righty and HE set up the stand and every single deer has come up on my right. Both 8 points came from behind me on my right. I grunted this nice 8 point up and he came strolling by my stand at no more than 10 yards but I had no shot because I couldn't swing my gun around to that side so I had to wait for him to get out in front of me. I waited for him to turn his head and raised my gun and he must have sensed it because he started acting skiddish and stomping and took about 5 steps down the hill away from me. i didn't have a very good shot but I decided to take him anyway and shot him right in the back of the neck. Needless to say he didn't go far. Dropped right there. It was pretty exciting!

Arkansas Football, it's the players running through the "A", hog hats, it's more than 70,000 fans calling WOO PIG SOOIE. Arkansas football, it's the state of Arkansas banding together behind one team and a mascot like no other. Those select few who put on the jersey are chosen, they wear the colors, they pay the price, and they succeed. They are exceptional, they are Razorbacks. Together we stand as tall as the tower of Old Main. Our memories are etched in stone like names on Senior Walks and our blood flows Razorback Red. 8 point from last year. This 8 was chasing the doe in the picture. I had stood up on my ladder stand because my butt was getting sore and tired and it was like 9:45 and I was about to call it a morning (I'm not very patient) and I hear something running through the woods and saw the doe. I immediately put the scope on her and was about to take the shot but I looked up and saw why she was running. I took a shot at him on the run and MISSED! Lucky for me they were stupid enough to stop to figure out what the hell that loud noise was and as soon as he did I dropped him. The doe never moved after the second shot so I shot her too. All 4 deer I have shot off that particular stand have dropped where I hit them. No tracking for me!

Dad's 10 point killed in Camden Arkansas with a .300 Mag. He got lucky. He came out to the trail to wait for my uncle to come pick him up on the 4 wheeler but my uncle was watching some deer so was late to pick dad up. Dad fell asleep on one side of the log. A doe came up and started to step over that very log and woke him up and they scared each other half to death. So dad sat up and had two more does come in on him and he put the biggest one in the scope and was about to harvest her when he saw this big boy come strolling in. I guess sometimes you just get lucky!
