I often cut and paste articles that touch my heart and soul in a particular fashion, but have never recommended a particular show, program, or movie.

I'd like to take this opportunity and this forum to highly recommend a new HBO Films movie that premiered just last week on the HBO Network titled 'Taking Chance'.

Starring Kevin Bacon, this film tenderly tells the story of USMC Lt Col Strobl escorting the body of 19 year old Chance Phelps back to his family in Wyoming for burial following his death in battle in Iraq.

Told with sensitivity, compassion, and without stance, this film answers no questions about war, but illustrates America as a country filled with passion, love, forgiveness, and honor.

As we struggle with economic issues that threaten to destroy even our moral fibers, I am touched that HBO Films was able to make me feel pride and blessed to be a 'fellow American'.
"The best thing about umpiring is seeing the best in baseball every day. The cardinal rule of umpiring is to follow the ball wherever it goes. Well, if you watch the ball, you can't help seeing somebody make a great catch... That's what makes umpiring so much fun." - National League Umpire Shag Crawford
