Butch Thompson of Mississippi State named BA's Assistant Coach of the Year

It is a complete and absolute joke that he won the award over Dave Jorn.  Thompson is an elite assistant and destined to be a HC in the near future in the next couple of years much like Butler during his time here, but Jorn has shown that he is probably the best pitching coach in the country.  I think we have finished in the top 20 in ERA in the last 4 seasons (2 in the top 5 including the best team ERA in a very long time).

Jorn will almost certainly never be a HC, but it says something when DVH has his right hand man and one of the top 4-5 pitching coaches in college baseball in Rob Childress available to come with him to Arkansas to be his pitching coach and chooses to hire Dave Jorn.
