It's been a pretty bad weekend for us Hog fans, but reading the following, non-Hog related story just made me smile

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/basketball/nba/09/10/shaq.katrina.ap/index.html

I am not necessarily a fan of Shaq and his b-ball game...but my respect for the guy just went through the roof.

Shaq has always been a positive to sports in my opinion.  The only negative stories you ever here about him were all based on the nuisance of Kobe Bryant.  Shaq has always been a funny guy, always great to listen to and watch, and has always been active in community and charities.  Truly a class act in my opinion.

Adam Stokes

He is a great person, on and off the court.  He took sonething like a 10 million dollar paycut so his team would be better.  Course, he was making 30 mil, but still a nice thing to do.

It just seems to me that he is actually in touch with what is happening.

You hear all sorts of celebrities speaking out and doing things as far as the disaster goes.

Rock concerts and scathing political documentaries (done solely for personal financial gain) are to be expected.

But Shaq is putting the money where is mouth is.

Like I said, the respect just went through the roof.
