If you are planning a trip to come to the beaches of the Gulf States PLEASE take note of the local flag system and where the lifeguards (if any) are located.

Also HEED the warnings of the flag systems.  If they advise to stay out of the water.  STAY OUT of the water.  We have had over 40+ rescues in the South Walton area alone and unfortunately two drownings in the past 48 hours.   A few others still hospitalized and in critical condition.  Same thing happened in the Bama area with 4 deaths.

The Gulf has major undertows at times and is very unforgiving.  You may think that your a good swimmer, but you will lose against her.

Please make sure that your families and friends are following the warning flags when they come to visit so there isn't a tragic ending to a wonderful vacation.....

People have to respect the water.  You can be in trouble before you know it.  Love the gulf.  We go every year and do watch the flags.  Have fun folks but be smart.
