Thinking about taking the family. Thought about renting an RV and travel in and around the park. Any suggestions?

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

It's a wonderful place.  Make sure you take enough time to also visit Jackson Hole, WY and the Tetons...as well as the Bear Tooth mountain range on the Wyoming / Montana border.  Magnificent!

Take your time.  You'll see lots of buffalo, grizzlies, moose and wolves if you're patient.

If possible, try to go in "off-peak" times (in other words, avoid the summer of possible.  Early May or Late Sept are good, though you could get some significant snowfall in both of those periods, so watch out.

We camped at the base of the Tetons on the lake a few years ago.  We went on day trips from there into Yellowstone. Make sure you dress in layers.  We were there in late August and experienced sunshine, rain, sleet, hail and snow all within a few minutes.
