Quote from: Mike_e on Yesterday at 01:13:16 pmIt will be interesting to see if after the 2Big start paying players directly if ATR (All The Rest) will wise up and put a two season clause into their player contracts.

Things will settle out but it will seem alien for a while.
Yes. Once they're paid by the schools they will sign contracts. There will be negotiations and no compete clauses, probably severance pay for injuries, front end bonuses that will have to be paid back if the player doesn't complete the contract.  High school players will be getting stalked by agents. It's going to be a business.
Like the article said, coaching salaries will probably take a hit.

The schools and coaches have no one to blame but themselves. They taught the players everything they needed to know about greed and chasing the dollar.

Quote from: thebignasty on Today at 09:01:54 amI'm a little surprised Kentucky jumped us, but I get it, they just beat us head to head and their cans would be squalling if they jumped to one spot behind us in the polls lol.

Looking at the season as a whole, they still have a home series loss to Kennesaw State and just lost a road series to South Carolina who we beat on the road just a couple of weeks ago.

For baseball?

How many portal guys did we get last season?

Quote from: donnie on Today at 08:58:03 amKentucky jumping 4 spots (and above Arkansas) for a 2-1 home series win against a top 10 team and Arkansas dropping 3 spots for an away series 1-2 loss against a top 10 team in D1Baseball's top 25.

Makes perfect sense!

Billy Richmond?

Maybe he means Kadary Richmond.  As I said, it's hard to tell.  It's cool.  I was just confused.

Quote from: Boarmonger on Today at 08:55:52 amExcept you have missed Johnelle Davis on your list and I assumed (wrongly) that's who you were referring to.  I am a little confused because you have such a mix of signees and "wish list" and you don't have all the signees listed.  It's a little confusing.
None of those on his list have signed.

Quote from: ucahogfan on Today at 08:35:33 amSo we dropped to #5 in the D1 poll as Tennessee takes over #1 followed by Clemson, TAMU and Kentucky.  I can understand putting Kentucky over us since they just took a weekend series from us, but TAMU has a MUCH worse weekend loss than us and we both have the same weekend record, but their two series losses are significantly worse than ours.  I would argue they should have dropped to #5 over us.  Kentucky has back to back series losses before this weekend.  I still think we should have been a top 3 team as our two series losses are against teams competing to host on the road.
I Think Hogs are definitely a top 5 and one could argue any of the top 5 as #1. But at the end of the day it doesn't matter. Hosting a super is what matters and if Hogs go into ATM and take the series they will have a very sweet seed in the tourney.
