This is just my personal perspective, but I think the idea of isolating the players from the student body is a BAD IDEA.  These high level players love the spot light and part of that is the experience with others on campus.  Certainly they will have to put up with some idiots, but that's life.  If you are preparing a kid for the pro's and his life after college then you don't put him in a bubble and expect him to be well rounded when he leaves college.  Part of living is learning how to deal with both good and bad experiences  The desire to win for the fans and fellow students can be a great motivator.  Remove that from the equation and I think you've lost something meaningful.

Didn't really want him when he committed, and glad hes not our problem. He's the perfect example of a guy who is going to struggle all year, have one good game, and then bolt for the draft to go 29th, winning hi team next to nothing.

Was one of my least favorite recruits in some time. Not his fault, just seemed like the prototypical Cal recruit we all began to hate. Athletic, not super skilled, couldn't give a darn less about UK, ready to go pro at earliest opportunity.

Make him apply for a permit before he's allowed to play in Rupp Arena. I know this is a free country but you can't just lay bricks anywhere you want to!

Yup as of now it looks like Z is their best shooter. Alot of teams are gonna go zone against Arkansas.

No offense to Karter, I'm sure he's a nice kid. But, man, he was the commit I think I had least looked forward to seeing since Cal got here. After being burned out on the revolving door, I swear EVERY single interview I saw with him he mentioned Cal making him a pro. Was just a total non-starter for me.

Good luck and all that but sure am glad I don't have to watch him on our team next year.

Perfect game plan against Cal ... when he yells gooooooo , immediately run straight up in the face of his players, until last week of feb they wont know what the f*** to do since he takes that long to go over basketball plays for dummies with the team.

Cal's gonna sell his cell phone full of NBA connections and kids are going to bite. Cal is going to use Arkansas just like he used UK as his ONLY goal is to fill the NBA with his recruits and be able to go to any arena he wants to in his golden years and watch them play. His goals flat out don't allign with winning in college and now with older teams via the portal, he's just not going to win with Freshman nor does he care.

I've been having fun with Arkansas fans lately on different platforms. They are so excited to be mentioned with players and think they will be the big school in college BB now. I'm like just wait. BBN knows exactly how your season will go, I could post it right here so you can come back next March and revisit it, but I'm guessing after it happens you won't be so gung Ho.

You can go back to his recruiting threads over the last year here and see not many were fans of his. we already had his brother who underachieved, it's not a new revelation. We have had 15 players just like him, we already know how it will turn out. Now if you wanna talk about Fland, JQ, or even Richmond then we can have a discussion because most wanted and still would like them.

Can't shoot and is a tweener size wise. unless he shoots the ball significantly better than he has in the past, he's destined for the G League then Hertz rental car.
Glad we didn't get him and Arky can have fun watching him take playing time from someone who can shoot!!

There's no way to get emotionally invested in players that have been at 3 schools in 3 years. We love guys like Burls and DMac because they were all Hog from start to finish. I couldn't even tell you most of our football players' names these days. Why bother? The best will get poached for more money and the rest will transfer out at the first sign of adversity.
