You've got to think RW3 is 1st team All SEC, but I honestly could see them giving it to someone else since he isn't a big name like the others.

That and there's a handful of others that are better than him this season.

yeah there are a lot of good backs in the SEC.

Whaley should have a good shot at Freshman All SEC though.

10   Nick Chubb, RB   UGA   185   900   4.9   55   6

this last game pushed RW3 past Pettaway, but also interesting is that Fournette isn't even in the top 10.  of course that makes him a lock for first team all sec

Leading the league in rushing. T2 in rushing TDs.

In league play he is still averaging over 100 yards a game and has 10 total TDs.

stat wise he should get it, but popularity wise I doubt it.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Fournette get the pick even over his own teammate who has out performed him.

RWIII will be 1st team All-SEC but he'll be our only one.  Skipper or Ragnow, possibly, but more likely 2nd team for them.

Not at all.

Fournette will get 1st team back. It's a popularity contest.

Ragnow better get it, he's graded out as the best center in the country.

RW3 will be 2nd team or honorable mention;  he's not going to get the nod over more heralded backs.  It will be argued that he has been too feast-or-famine in SEC play--  he has some huge days, but plenty of very modest stat lines as well.

He will be hurt by his yds per carry. He certainly should get come back player of the year though.

It's amazing what Guice has been able to do at LSU with only 120 touches - 964 yards.
He'll be totally overlooked because of Fournette.

753 of those yards were against UA. (Well, almost)

Pettaway had at least that many.  he would have been a lock if he stayed healthy

I'm gonna remember this and bwahahaha you when he's named 1st team.

I wonder if the season leader in rushing has ever NOT been 1st team all conference?  (Sorry, I'm too lazy to do the research)

More than once.  Most recently in 2012 when Gurley led the SEC in rushing and was 2nd team in the Coaches' Selections-- that same year Eddie Lacy finished as a 2nd team All-SEC performer, despite being 200 yards ahead of the 1st team all SEC RB in both Coaches and AP teams--  Mike Gillislee of Florida.

Fournette is easily the most talented RB in the league, but he's been hurt, in and out of the lineup, and hasn't had an All-SEC year.  I think the folks that vote will recognize that.  Same thing with Chubb.  Pettway will end up playing only half the season.

1st team RBs will be RWIII and the guy from Vanderbilt.  Book it.

we are talking about a 500 yard difference between fournette and RW3 though

I'd be thrilled if Rawleigh was named to the 1st team, but will be happy if he's 2nd team. Because you never know, and because there are a lot of good backs in the SEC (in looking at Soda's list above.)

Rawleigh is a true workhorse, is good at everything. But, there's no confusing him with the kind of breathtaking runs we'd see from Felix or DMac. But you cannot deny RW's numbers—flashiness or not—doing it in the SEC. Not in the Mountain Pasture Conference. Seriously, being the leading rusher in the SEC should have its own award.

I like Webb from Vandy, but he probably won't make the list. And I was impressed with Trayveon Williams from A&M, although it sickened me. I wonder if Guice will take a little away from Fournette. This will be interesting to see how it plays out.
