Norvell isn't from the Malzahn "tree." He is from the Graham tree, and happened to be on staff for one year as a GA when Malzahn was there. There offenses are actually quite different if you break them down.

Bohanon is a big fan of Norvell. He more than likely, not 100%, would come to UofA with the hiring of Norvell. Also high on Petrino and Mullen.

His system is designed to make up for a weaker line. If he has a good line it would be even better, but one of the main points of the system is that it's simple for OL to cover for talent deficiencies. It's mostly inside/outside zone running schemes with a few powers mixed in.

I've been pretty steady in that dept all of my life. No stupid phases for me. My hair was never in cornrows and I have had a full beard since I was 14, but I shaved every day. Catholic High School tends to make you somewhat disciplined if you like the education they give you.
