I'm not above poaching (b/c I suck at betting), and have done so before. So, in an effort to get above .500 for the year I've copied yraciv's picks (what does yraciv stand for or mean?).....

LSU  -3
FSU  -21.5
OSU  -18.5
SC  +3.5
Bay  +8.5
Mary  +5
Vandy/Aub  o44.5
Fres  -16.5
Utah  +8.5

Oh wow! Good luck to us. And you are overthinking things on the name, but I'm not going to give it away.

Rutgers stuggling horribly. Plenty of time though.
Let's make some waves.

I took LSU/Texas A&M Under 52. They are making me nervous with 26 at halftime.

WILL CLINTON

I didn't have time before the games kicked off to put down what I bet, but I hope my history stands for itself...

Rutgers -3.5....2*
LSU -4....1*
S Carolina +3.5....1*
Texas Tech +1....1*
Alabama -20....1*
Cincy -5.5....2*
Georgia -26....1*
Miss St -18.5....1*

Good luck to everyone

I had a good day today. Had Rutgers, Mich st, Auburn, Stanford, under 71 in Kstate/WVU game (that was very close!) and lost on louisville as they didn't cover.  I'll take 5/6 any day of the week.

Went 3-3 for the weekend for a +1 for weekend & +20 for season. Thank goodness for Bama!  Georgia ... not so much.  Florida is going to crush Georgia next weekend.

Jeff "hogfanintx" Anderson

Arizona +7 / 2 units
Redskins +6 / 2 units
Jets +10.5 / 4 units
Steelers -1 / 10 units dime play.
Let's make some waves.

Great week so far starting with the ducks on Thursday.

Went the way it was suppose to.  Hit all the larger plays. Lost two smaller ones.

Let's make some waves.

It looks like Florida will open around -4.5 @ Georgia (actually at Jacksonville, FL) & that A&M will open around -11 @ Auburn (the lines on BetOnline). I plan to try to load up on both of those early if I can get them at around those spreads.

EDIT: By the time I found them on my site they were FL -6 & A&M -12.5 (then FL moved to -7 in mid-bet). I took 20 units on FL -7 & 20 units on A&M -12.5.

EDIT 2: Well crap, line dropped back to FL -6 afterward. I added 6 units at -6 & am done for the weekend.

Some interesting lines for this coming weekend.  What do ya'll make of Bama -24 against Miss State?

Admittedly I haven't actually had a chance to watch Miss. State yet this year...but they are having a heck of a year supposedly.  That seems like a lot of points.

I agree.  I think MSU keeps it respectable.  Maybe a 24-14 type game.

DadVader1

I decided not to play the Bama game but agree that the line is interesting.  My initial thought was that the State spread should be around the amount by which Bama beat Ole Miss (19).  Then again, State squeaked by a Tenn team (at State) that Bama demolished (at Tenn), so 24 or 25 at Bama may be about right. I just don't have a good feel one way or the other, largely because I haven't seen how State will fare against a quality opponent.

SPAL

Bama will win easily but I don't see a cover. It's at state and they will be jacked. They have a decent team. Bama by 20

I think it's at Bama, so you might take 3 from State, give 3 to Bama, and you have Bama by 26.  I think Bama covers -24, but it's not a strong feeling, and I could definitely see State covering +24, so I'm playing other games.

A quick rant about bookmaker.eu.  I opened an account there a few years ago (before bookmaker.com became bookmaker.eu) and had good experiences with them.  Like most other online sites, you could make a withdrawal for free once per month.  I recently looked into making a withdrawal to re-balance my online accounts (I had more wins at BM and more losses at 5 Dimes).  They no longer offer free withdrawals, no matter how seldom.  To get a check costs $40.  Their "free" withdrawal involves them issuing you a debit card with a LONG list of fees, including $25 to open, $10 or $15 to close, $4.99/mo while open, and fees for every withdrawal or use.  I'll be closing this account and opening one at a site that doesn't gouge you when making an occasional withdrawal.  On top of that, something doesn't feel right about the FL/UGA line that moved on me from -6 to -7 mid-bet and then back down to -6 shortly thereafter, especially since most everyone still has that game at -6 or -6.5.  OK, rant is done.

widespreadsooie

At first glance of this week's lines I like Rutgers, Bama, A&M, and Florida. I see an easy cover for Bama. Miss. St. has literally played nobody unless you consider Tennessee somebody. Bama by 30+.

Monk-N-Dunk

Just laid a lot on Ohio State (+ 2 1/2) over Penn State.

I also like Kstate -7 1/2 but don't feel confident enough to bet it. Sticking with above only for this week.

*For those that don't know, Braxton Miller (QB for Ohio State) is doubtful for game. I still think their 2nd string QB will be able to pull it off. Can't see Urban losing outright to Penn State but crazier things have happened.

9-2-1 on the weeken +36 units

I do not like anything tonight enough to make this weekend jump the tracks.

Gearing up for next weekend.

Im thinking Miss St is a good play because Alabama has LSU the following week, but not enough to lay much on it.

Line I am getting right now is Ohio St -3.  I never bet early, but if it holds I would lean toward Penn St +3

Seems like an easy pick, but I'm not touching it. I'm a bit of a Notre Dame guy (clouded judgement probably on my part).  I do not however believe anything I have seen from OU.  They score at will against big 12 teams, but who hasn't. Not seen a team in that conf play any defense and that includes K-St

Looks about right to me.  Two teams you can always count on laying an egg once or twice a year in a game they shoul cover easily. Clemson, Fl St.

Last night's halftime line was Astate +4, easy 2 units

I like so far:
Clemson -12.5
Ohio State pk
Louisville -3.5
Boise -16.5 (Wyoming is reeealy bad)
Rutgers -13.5 (Kent State reeeeal bad)

Hooch

I haven't posted my pics in a while, mainly because I was sucking and didn't want to influence anyone with my horrid pics, but have been hot lately.

Hit Bama, Miss St for $50 Saturday also 3 team teaser Indy, Packers, Saints for $100 and New England, Pitt, Oakland for $100.

Puts me at 8-10-1.

I am liking:

Texas AM  -16.5
Ohio St.  Pickem
Rutgers  -14
New England -7
San Diego  -3
Atlanta  +3
Miami +3 I have no idea why this line is +3 the only chance NY has is if can run the ball and Miami is a stud against the run.   Seems too good to be true.
Washington  +5

I will probably play some type of teaser with NFL games.

What makes you think Kent is really bad? They are 6-1 on the year straight up and against the spread? Not trying to argue, just want to know your thoughts.

Kent's one loss was to Kentucky 47-14

They've beaten Towson, Buffalo, EMU, Ball St, Army, Western Mich

Rutgers is 7-0 and playing at home

Wins:
Tulane, Howard, Ark, Uconn, Syracuse, Sout Florida, Temple

Big East sucks, but is >>>> MAC

Top of a better conference playing the top of a lesser conference, I like Rutgers to win by more than 14.

Don't think Bama covers that spread.

Last year Bama won by 17 (24-7) and Miss State is much better. I will take State.

State's played two games on the road this season: Lexington & Troy. Not quite the Tuscasloosa environment. Also their "best" win is a 10 pt. victory at home over Tennessee. They're literally in for a wake up call. I'm predicting a throttle, but we shall see.

Washington has proven to play well at home this season (see vs. Stanford), and Oregon St. is due for a trip up. Not only do I like Washington to cover, but win. Do you really see Oregon St. keeping this win streak up much longer?
