Nope!  Don't like that.

It's easy to get carried away with design and idea.  But from a practical standpoint... the more complexity and moving parts you add to a system, the more maintenance and lifetime costs are going to sky rocket.

It's an awesome dream on paper, but not practical.  In my senior level design class for my aerospace engineering degree we spent most of the time discussing that concept.  But even then it was easy to get carried away because you can't see ownership costs as easily as build costs.
