Just a quick glance I have:

5-Never Enrolled
6-Transfered
1- Starter as a true, but injured and had to give up the game
13-Still on roster, and all major contributors
3-Completed eligibility

IMO that was, and still is  a great class.

Not a great class.  It was good, but not great.  Giddens was an elite talent that had to retire due to concussions.  Mays left and went to JC and is with Ok. State now.

You are lucky if half of a class contributes in a meaningful way.  If you get a half dozen all-conference guys then you are doing pretty well.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.
