QuoteColts never gave a definitive statement regarding the status of head coach Chuck Pagano. The reason why might be because Colts owner Jim Irsay was trying to court a high-profile name out of retirement.

Irsay apparently tried to recruit former Raiders and Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden out of the Monday Night Football booth and onto the sideline at Lucas Oil Stadium. But, as ESPN's Adam Schefter (would know) reports, Gruden turned him down.

This is a bit of a bombshell for Indianapolis, as it might convey Irsay doesn't have much faith in Pagano. The Colts have posted back-to-back 8-8 campaigns after making it to the conference championship game during the 2014 season.

Why in the world would Jon Gruden give up his gravy job to take on the headaches of Coaching again

Why in the world is everyone infatuated with the coaching myth known as Chucky? His overall record is average. and he has had numerous losing or .500 seasons. He is Jason Garrett but with a Super Bowl. And no one wants Garrett.
