Wow, that's great...$3k...I'll bet Gage Wood probably has that 3K for his scholly, but he still needs to be on 25% as do all scholly players, and that 3K isn't doing a lot towards that 25%....not like it is in other states with REAL lottery scholarships.

Why is it a big deal? Is he wrong?

Cal is probably playing a little chess with opposing coaches.   Like making other staffs think we're not really recruiting a player, since we're at our magic number of scholarships given.  Maybe he's putting the thought out there for other coaches to run with, however they may.   I just don't see us with a roster of 10 or less next season.
