I'm not convinced it's Chavis.

I'm hoping this is to throw us off the scent of Venables... I doubt Venables comes but I wanted him as head coach... can't imagine getting him and Morris at this point.

Chavis would be a good get at DC and would lead to instant media credibility for our defense which helps with recruiting but not necessarily defense. However, Chavis would give us a better defense than we've seen around here in quite sometime.

Do y'all really think he would commit here and want to compete with another high level QB in Noland for the starting job?  I feel like the other schools offering him and trying to sell him on coming in and being "their guy" for sure, no competition and that he would be the only QB they take in his class.  I hope this is not the case, but this is was worries me, that we just will only be able to have one or the other...
Yes. And he is higher ranked with a bigger arm than Noland. And he's faster, and he could play other positions if need be. But he is the #1 player in the state of arkansas for a reason.

Also, Noland says he's playing baseball. That means he misses all the spring practices... How will he ever learn the offense enough to beat out Bohannon?

lol, I would be excited about a Chavis hire, but a guy who cut his teeth at Tennessee with Fulmer and made his career with the ** ball control offenses at LSU wanting to be a part of/understanding  a hurry up spread program any more than guys who came up in hurry up spread is not strong logic.

Doesn't this fit basically every DC over the age of 40? The game has changed,  rather quickly.  They all have to adapt and learn.

Well considering no one credible has said anything I agree.

Schaap has consistently been wrong on almost everything

Yeah, I loved the Hush Puppy. My best friend and I, along with our then wives, got run out one night when they were having a boiled shrimp night, all you can eat. Lol. We ate so much shrimp, they accused us of hiding them in the girl’s purses. We let them search the purses so they ended up embarrassed. We had eaten everyone of those lil boogers! As I recall, 9 or 10 platters. They sure were good!

That have contributed how much? to the Razorback program.  Just name them, I'll recognize the names.

Ragnow, Tretola, Wallace and Ledbetter off the top of my head. Several multi year starters and draft picks.

doubt that, unless they are putting up 20-40 draft picks a year...
It called exaggeration, but when it comes to players drafted, it is not off by a lot.  Especially not when you look at the first three rounds.
