Has always been hard to ignore, and has had more than a few accuse him of all sorts of skulduggery when it comes to recruiting, but no one denies that he is one of the best in the business in this, the most critical area, when it comes to winning in college football.

A-State fans feel strongly he is a big reason that they have been able to sign more than a few  players the last two classes, who held offers from school that are considered further up the FBS food-chain than A-State.

One thing is for sure, you will be hard pressed to talk to any of their players from the last two classes that do not have a Trooper Taylor story to tell.

This is a nice (but long) write-up about Trooper, and might shed some light as to why he relates so well to these young players.

Tropper just gets the job done.
If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.
