So... yeah I would think it is bad that our economy is experiencing negative growth AND we are experiencing inflation. I loved old Ben yesterday talking about all the deflationary pressure. I think the inflationary pressure of his monetary policy will more than make up for any deflationary pressure.

Imagine how bad it will get when the economy actually starts growing again. Mass, your TIPS advice looks better everyday for people wanting to preserve spending power.

Common sense would demand that one plan on a pretty big inflation kick, at least from my conservative viewpoint.  At work we are having regular discussions on the impact of increased inflation on our business and what we can do to mitigate the impact.  The next few years are going to be very, very critical.  Things have changed.
