Completely nothing. It's a stupid arse law and he should be rewarded for not obeying it.

Worthy of a suspension, but not kicking him off the team, unless it gets to such a point that the coach thinks it's disruptive to the team.

I've never seen anyone get in trouble so many times, but ALWAYS for such minor bullshite. Usually a person that out of control does something serious, but every "incident" has been complete peanuts.

While I agree that his incidents have been relatively minor, a lot of us are just tired of seeing his name in the papers. I can't speak for the team obviously, but he is becoming a major distraction for those of us that follow the Tigers closely. I am swinging toward the "cut your losses" side of the argument lately.

If he is not on the team this fall, LSU will have issues at QB, with a redshirt Freshman likely starting. The rest of the team will be strong enough to make up for some of that, but it could cost a win or two during the season vs having RP. Note though, I believe the RSF - Jarrett Lee - was ranked just behind Mallett as the 2nd or 3rd rated QB in Texas (7th nationally) that year, so he's no slouch as a QB. Just inexperienced.

Hopefully, the O-Line and running game can cover up some of his lack of experience, but you know there will always be a game or two where the QB has to win it for you. So we'll see what happens there. As far as RP, I think we are better off to drop him now rather than hold our breath all year. Just my two cents Les - do what you think you need to.

He just got back from suspension

Rumors said he went to a chinese buffet and got in a fight, refused to pay and left

Police were called and the owner contacted Les

I'm sick to my stomach

we are screwed without him
one can only hope! I would rather lose EVERY game than have a jerk like that on our team!

I'll make a prediction: If BCG were to get the Tennessee job, Calipari will be fired from UK within 2 years because from the 2013-2014 season on, Tennessee will own the SEC East until BCG moves on or retires.

A member of the Tigerdroppings board by the name WJBO Radio, the same radio station that reported this in the first place, posted that this was not a joke.

And it wasn't just some guy that created the name to mess with anybody.  The member had over 300 posts, and was generally received by the members to be in the know.

This seems pretty legit.

I don't see how Les can let this go.

I agree.  The simple fact that coaches allow this sort of thing to happen is why there are so many character issues in the first place.  They know they can get away with anything as long as they're a baller.

Wonder what TammanyTom thinks about this?

RP got in an argument with a waiter at the Kona Grill. They had some words and the waiter got management to ask him to leave the restaurant.

Trouble seems to always find Ryan Perrilloux. Like I've said numerous times, he is an immature idiot that cannot fathom the opportunity that he has been given with his talent. He is in the midst of throwing away the opportunity of a lifetime.

While RP has never been guilty of breaking any major laws (the worst law that he has been arrested for breaking is passing a fake id), he continues to play with fire and finds himself in controversy over and over again.

He's a major talent with a 2 cent head. He will never be able to lead LSU to anything of consequence. He doesn't have the heart or the head.

If Les Miles kicked him off the team tommorrow I would not shed a tear. He really hasn't done anything that would warrant getting kicked off the team. However, Miles has to gauge the impact of Perrilloux and what his actions do to the team's overall moral. However, if he is a disruptive force or a distraction for his teammates he must be kicked off the team for good.

I actually feel sorry for LSWHO!
If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

He signed in Feb of 05.  So, I assume most of the recruiting was done by Saban's staff, but he was in Miles first class?

He was committed to Texas, but switched on or close to signing day.

Does it matter?

Both recruited him very, very hard. He was the USA Today Offensive Player of the Year. Virtually every school in America recruited and offered RP. He originally signed with Texas and changed his commitment to LSU after Miles was hired.

You people act like RP is the biggest thug in college football. His last 3 transgressions were:

1. Being at a club where a fight broke out and was asked to leave. Video cameras showed RP threw no punches, destroyed no property, and pushed no one. His fellow teammate Derrick Odom was shown on video throwing a punch and destroying property. Odom was kicked off the football team for good.   RP was suspended for the Alabama game just for being there and being asked to leave.

2. Missing classes and missing a team meeting. RP was suspended for spring practice.

3. Going to a restaruant, having words with a waiter, and being asked to leave by management. After being reinstated for spring practice, he was then suspended again for this transgression.

The ONLY crime that RP has been arrested for is trying to use a fake ID to get into a casino.

The ONLY reason why any of this news gets reported and then discussed on message boards is because he was the ultra talented High School QB who ran his mouth to a local tv station about how good he was and is the heir apparent starting QB for the defending National Championship team.

The things that this kid gets in trouble for is exactly the same things that numerous (and I mean numerous) spoiled, rich college kids get in trouble for at every single college campus in America.

Do these things make him a thug? No, but they do make him an immature, spoiled, idiot who we LSU fans realize doesn't have what it takes to lead our football team. Therefore, we are tired of his spoiled, prima donna behavior and are ready for him to pack his bags and move on.

Jeff "hogfanintx" Anderson

To you LSU fans.  You would simply be better off without this guy.  If he is named starter and gets the majority of the practice reps then gets arrested after a couple games it will be tough to recover.  Les should just get rid of the guy.
Let's make some waves.

NOTE: LSU redshirt freshman linebacker Shomari Clemons of West Monroe has been suspended by LSU football coach Les Miles following his arrest downtown early Sunday morning.

Baton Rouge Police arrested Clemons in the increasingly popular Third Street area on misdemeanor charges of simple battery of a police officer, resisting an officer and disturbing the peace.

Clemons was not at practice on Monday or Tuesday of this week, and LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette confirmed he had been suspended.

LSU will hold its last spring practice this afternoon after taking Wednesday off.

Miles is expected to address Clemons' situation along with that of quarterback Ryan Perrilloux, who has not practiced all spring. The Tigers close spring drills with the spring game at 5 p.m. Saturday in Tiger Stadium.
