Smart App Banners on iphone

I'm getting so sick of these things. Anyone know how to eliminate them? They're the banners at top of safari when the page has an associating app. I'm getting annoyed to the point I might go to a different make next time.

I noticed that too... doesn't matter what site it's for, either. Annoying.
