Wise Dan will miss the Breeders' Cup. His age may finally be catching up with him, at least off the track.

could you imagine if Wise Dan hadn't been gelded? he would already have progeny on the race track lol what he has done has been nothing short of phenomenal. do they see how he is and potentially give him a farewell tour? cmon to the oaklawn handicap! HA *in my dreams*

LoPresti really wanted to try him on the Dirt in the Classic after his latest win, but they asked JV about his thoughts about what LoPresti said and JV said something like "why do that? He is better on the turf, no reason to try something when you know he is the best at this".

Sadly, the owner keeps saying the same thing as JV.
