Great inning for Nesheck. 1, 2, 3. His stuff is sick.

Holliday to lead off bottom 8th.

Tied 3-3

I wonder if Yadi's oblique was a pre-existing injury? If not, good call on AJ. Although, you're allowed injury replacement on the NLCS roster, right?

Yeah, but I think that may mean he can't come back for the WS if we make it. Which we won't because we suck, so nbd.

True. Rosenhausen about to blow it as per usual.

If they deactivate him, it will definitely mean he's out for the WS not that it matters.....

Strained oblique means he's more than likely done.

Here comes the rosenthal walk

Works like a charm.

I like the way Reynolds just described him. Effectively wild haha

dacskc

Watching Rosenthal pitch one inning is more stressful than all other innings combined.

dacskc

I wonder when his last 1-2-3 inning was?

Agreed. He definitely doesn't bring the same lock down feeling he did last year. It's always interesting.

Bailed out again. Neshek needs to be closing.

dacskc

Damnit Rosenhausen come on. When's the last time he didn't run the count full?

That was sickening. I put just as much blame on Cruz though. You've got to block that ball. No backhand stab at it.

Walk Posey.

Just tell him to strike him out, he'll definitely walk him then.

Yep. Didn't expect to see the impact so soon, but knew we'd see it somewhere in this series once he left.

Don't worry guys; Cards get 3 in American Telegraph and Telephone Park, the Cardinals never lose there!

Is that a double-reverse jinx?

When Neshek is dealing like that u give him two innings, especially when Rosenthal has been as wild as he has been.

2 for 2 on the Kolten Wong reverse jinx. I'll claim this win.  :) :) :)

Good work man, good work.

dacskc

Gotta win one on the road. Remember the old days when Izzy sucked and the next day he would come down with a mysterious (Tony-diagnosed)injury? Maybe that will happen. Fingers crossed.

Need karma back just for that.

The Cardinals suck especially Kolten Wong, he has no power and always chokes in big situations. I can't believe they aren't starting Kozma ahead of him.

On a serious note, I would like to see Taveras get a start, but with the big and weird right field at American Telegraph and Telephone Park I doubt we see that. As far as Rosenhausen is concerned, take him behind Busch Stadium and smash his elbow with a tire iron a couple times so Matheny won't put him out there.
Lenin is cautiously optimistic.

dacskc

Matheny has to see it. It's not 2013, and Rosenthal has one job. Do your job.

I also don't get why Choate is on the roster instead of Freeman.

Can you play through a strained oblique with cortisone shots? I know it's inadvisable in the regular season, but with plenty of recovery time coming up shortly, would it cause further damage to shoot Yadi up and send him out there? Any docs out there?

Seeing as he couldn't get out of the box, I bet he's done. Anybody remember Brad Penny?
