edshirt freshman wide receiver Thaddeus Snodgrass will transfer from Kentucky, a UK spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday.

Snodgrass, who had yet to catch a pass this season, opened the season as the backup to sophomore wide receiver Dorian Baker but disappeared from the depth chart before Kentucky's Oct. 15 game against Auburn.

Asked why Snodgrass had been dropped from the depth chart, UK head coach Mark Stoops said, "There's some other guys playing and he's been having his struggles, but we'll see where that goes."

Snodgrass was rated as a four-star recruit out of Springfield High School in Ohio in 2014...

I would like to thank the University of Kentucky for giving me the opportunity to achieve my childhood dream of playing quarterback for the WildCats. The last four years have been ones that I will truly cherish for the rest of my life. Although I wish my time here in Lexington could have ended another way, I'm eternally grateful. The junior signal caller did not offer a response to what he planned to do in 2016 following Saturday's Iron Bowl, during which Johnson went 10 for 23 for 169 yards with a touchdown in Auburn's 29-13 loss.

"No," Johnson said in response to if he's thought about what he'll do next season. "No comment."

"I'd like to focus on those two guys right now that are here," offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee said earlier this month. "But it's a fair question."

Auburn has a commitment from three-star dual-threat quarterback John Franklin III out of East Mississippi Community College, the nation's top JUCO prospect in the 247Sports Composite. He visited Auburn this weekend and is set to sign with the Tigers on Dec. 16, enroll Jan. 10 and wants to "win the starting job before we go into fall camp."

It is yet to be determined where Kincade will land, but the Dallas native indicated he would return to his home state.

"I just wanted to thank god and the (U)niversity of Mississippi for the opportunity to get a education, chase my dream and grow as a man," Kincade wrote on Instagram. "I ran into people and built relationship with people that I will never forget and memories that I will go back in time and do it all over again, (sic) But I am Transferring some where closer to Tx."

Chad Kelly, redshirt freshman Ryan Buchanan and freshman Jason Pellerin remain the three scholarship quarterbacks on the Ole Miss roster. The Rebels are also expected to add the nation's top quarterback, five-star commit and early enrollee Shea Patterson, in January.

Bryce English, a Kansas State defensive tackle from Texas, announced that he is transferring to be closer to his family.

His father recently was diagnosed with cancer.

English, from DeSoto, redshirted this season. He was a late addition to the K-State class after considering offers from TCU, Iowa, Arkansas and UCLA, among others. He was considered a three-star prospect, but among the top 30 defensive tackles, nationally.

Patrick Towles, Kentucky's former quarterback announced he will soon be a Boston College Eagle on his Instagram on Friday night.

Patrick Towles is headed to Boston College, reports Jennifer Smith of the Herald-Leader. The former Highlands star, who started 22 games for the Cats, will be eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer for the ACC school. He graduated from UK on Friday with a political science degree.

His grandfather, Jim Bunning is in the Baseball Hall of Fame and was a US Senator.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jonathan Abram is not with Georgia as it begins practice here for Saturday's game, and his future with the program is murky.

The night that Mark Richt was fired, it was Abram who walked by the media and said, unprompted: "If the media wants to know anything keep Pruitt." That meant defensive coordinator and secondary coach Jeremy Pruitt, who ultimately left for Alabama.

Abram was a starter at safety for about half the season.

A junior, Webb is the third Red Raider gunslinger to leave Lubbock under Kliff Kingsbury, following Michael Brewer's departure to Virginia Tech and Baker Mayfield bailing for Oklahoma. He's also the fourth quarterback in the Texas-Oklahoma corridor to announce a transfer, following Texas A&M's Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray and Oklahoma's Trevor Knight.

Surpassed by Patrick Mahomes on the depth chart, Webb played in parts of three seasons for the Red Raiders, throwing for 5,557 yards with 46 touchdowns and 22 interceptions.

Rumors emerged shortly after Mike Jinks got the Bowling Green job that Texas Tech quarterback Davis Webb would soon join him.

Those reports were premature...

The transfer was not.

Diarse, once a consensus four star prospect out of Neville High, caught 13 passes for 137 yards this season. He served mostly as a reserve behind starters Travin Dural and Malachi Dupre. He was the Tigers' No. 3 receiver and had two of his best games of his career in Houston.

Diarse caught four passes for a season-high 45 yards in the Texas Bowl on Tuesday night. Diarse had two catches for 48 yards and a game-changing touchdown in a win over Wisconsin last season in Houston.

Diarse's signing day potential never materialized for the run-heavy Tigers.

Junior quarterback Chad Voytik will transfer out of the Pitt football program. Voytik, who is scheduled to graduate this spring semester, will be eligible to play at any other FBS program in 2016.

After leading the Panthers in passing in 2014 with 2,233 yards and 16 touchdowns, Voytik was phased out as the top quarterback under Narduzzi with the addition of Tennessee transfer Nate Peterman. Peterman effectively ran Pitt's offense this season and finished the season with 2,287 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Peterman pretty much assured himself he will be Pitt's main quarterback in 2016 as well, which left little playing time likely to be available for Voytik in western PA.

The news comes less than 24 hours after former Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight announced he would be transferring to Texas A&M.

Allen, a former 5-star recruit, will be forced to sit out the 2016 season.
