I know he's undersized, but Bell is truly a pure shooter. Anyone think he will get an opportunity at the next level?

ADavisTheGOAT

D-League at best. If not that he'll have a solid overseas career.

I could see him working his way into to the league someday. He would make a nice bench guy that can come in and score some. It depends on his ability to play defense though.

This.  I think he is fringe at the moment but I think he will most definitely get a chance.

No, not an NBA guy.   He's  listed at 6'3,  but is closer, I would wager, to 6'1.    He has no true place in the NBA, as he's far too small to handle the bigger guards (90% of the league's guards are bigger than Bell) , and doesn't have the skill set to direct an offense.    He's not even a combo guard at the next level, as he lacks the explosive athleticism that makes those kinds of guys.

If he shot like he does, and was 6'8,  he might find a role in the right offense-- as it stands, he's a very nice college player who can likely play overseas and make some cash.

It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

If you are going by the book, Bell doesn't have a chance but we all know there are players that are no better than Bell in the NBA right now.

Thanks for saving the me the trouble of typing this. Bell simply doesn't posses any where near the size and athleticism to play in the league.

Not really, no.   I mean, take the steroid-version of Anthlon's game--  Jimmer Fridette-  and he can barely get a sniff with a 10 day contract with an awful team that is desperate for shooting.

He's a great Hog, but that doesn't mean we should be desperate to try to make of him, something he is not.

If he is really 6'1" and has two hand jammed it in games this season, then athleticism is not the issue. The issue with him is his ball handling, ability to create for others, and defense. The shot is there. He would have to completely retool his game so it isn't likely but he does have some ability and a strong work ethic.

Athleticism is indeed an issue. He is slow of foot and doesn't have good lateral quickness. Also the NBA 3 point line is further out, if you watch Bell he isn't exactly a guy who can back up another foot and still be consistent, he seems to be right on the limit of his range with the college 3 point line.

No way.  Love him, as all Hogs....but no way.

yraciv

Not even close. Do some of you even watch the NBA?  There are a ton of 6'3 shooters in the world that can shoot 40% from 3.  I'm not even sure he'd even get to that in the league.  He doesn't have the range of Hannahs, he is last on the team in steal percentage,  his ballhandling is average, and he doesn't create for people. He is good at getting a quick shot off and spacing. Those holes are closed in the NBA when guys guarding him will be longer, quicker, and the 3 point line is farther back.

alaback

This has nothing to do with Bell in the NBA, but I just saw that he hasn't missed a free throw in 30 days.  He is 29-29 during that stretch.

No one is saying he could be drafted. You are wrong on the athleticism but you have been wrong about Kevaughn Allen as well so there's that. ;)

razorbackfanatic

He's very close to 6'3". Maybe 6'2". If he's 6'1" then Beard is 5'10".

So I am wrong about Allen even though he is being projected to the All Freshman team? Interesting philosophy you have there......

Boss Hog in the Arkansas

Height means nothing if you can make an impact. Nate robinson is one of the smallest guys in the nba but is explosive. If Bell continues to shoot as he does, he will have a place somewhere
That's right, you don't want to be the man to replace the man.  You want to be the man to replace Rory Segrest.

Big Boi

If Jimmer Fredette can't find a spot in todays NBA, I doubt Bell can.

Razorpigg

I agree overseas is probably his best shot at continuing his career, but I am reminded that Jannero Pargo somehow found a spot in the NBA for a time. So who knows?

razorbackfanatic

If Eddie House can hang in the NBA for as long as he did, then Bell has a chance lol. Bell has had an outstanding senior season. He was always streaky at best until this season, now when he shoots I expect it to go in. I never thought of him this way until this year. 45% from 3 is better than Pat Bradley or Rotnei Clarke ever had for 1 season.

Kevin

go overseas make money, manage your money well. have big cash in bank when he is done.

The later scenario is probably not far off.   We'll see if he gets any camp invites (doubtful), where they do official measurements.
