Didn't mean anything by it, was just posting the link to see what people would think about a Humanitarian Bowl bid now.  Guess they missed that boat.

pigsooiec5

not bad for a team from the MAC to stay that close with an NFL team.

Needless to say, BCS conferences are laughing.  ND may could beat this team.

But it appears he can't hold on to the football

Turner Gill, class act, great guy, great coach, better person.  Thank God first and then almost cried.  All the praise to the team.

If one of the big boys doesn't hire him they are dumb asses.  Mississippi State could do much worse and so could Auburn.

Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

I agree. Turner Gill is the real deal. Nebraska screwed up last year by not hiring him.

I like that "mighty" Ball State was "outted". They are what we thought they were all along.

I'm happy for Turner Gill. It is great to see good guys come in first for a change. I love that he credited the team for the win and was so emotional. Whomever gets that guy as a HC is going to win. If he can do in three years what he did with Buffalo, he can do the same elsewhere with better recruits and talent.

Someone here stated boldly that Nate Davis was far and away the best QB in the FBS this year.  Also said he had the size and arm strength to be a great NFL QB.  Said his coach claimed he has a stronger arm than Bret Favre.

So I watched the game to see what the fuss is about.  First, I noticed Ball State was EXPOSED.  Their only "marquis" win was at Indiana.  Regarding Davis, he doesn't possess NFL size or an NFL arm.  He does have tremendous touch, but so did Danny Wuerfful.  Comparing him to Bret Favre is like comparing a Ferrari and a VW Beetle.  Plus, I can't see an NFL QB coach allowing him to keep the gloves or avoid the laces.  Newsflash to Davis:  The laces are on the football for a reason.  Several of his passes floated or dove because he doesn't use the laces, most notably a pass he threw for a crucial second half first down to a diving Orsbon.  The catch was reversed upon review.  The pass took a funny nosedive like a sinker ball and hit the turf before bouncing up to the receiver.

Davis will be drafted if he comes out, but he needs to stay for his senior year, lose the gloves, and learn to throw with the laces.
Life is too short for grudges and feuds.

Glad to see Ball St. go down since it is David Letterman's Alma Mater.  Got tired of him making fun of McCain and Palin and republicans in general.
