For the people predicting less than 5 wins, I don't get it. I know some of y'all ain't haters are trying to be realists, but I can't see us not inning at least 5 games. I for sure see a win vs 3 non conf teams. Texas Tech is very winnable, A&M i see as a victory as well. And I believe we def get at least one victory out of Ole Miss, MSU, LSwho and Mizzou. If not two.

It was by design. You see, my step son is on Team Mike. Which means that he is in costume at any given time as Mike The Tiger. Making predictions on that particular game is committing marital suicide for myself. I like sleeping next to "Mike's" mother, so I omitted any reference to that particular game. I think this team needs to prove it can win the toss ups first. Many on here are basing 6-7 wins on improving on games that SHOULD have been won. Should isn't winning. Until this team proves it can put teams away I have a hard time seeing more than. 5 wins.

Based on the competitiveness of the team last year, I think many will be pleasantly surprised. The Hogs never quit last season, nearly beating LSU in the finale. They were just a play or two away from bowling last year. And from the interviews I've heard, Brandon Allen was basically at 40%. He practiced once a week due to the shoulder injury and had shots on Saturdays to deaden the pain for games. That deadness left him with the ability to throw the ball about 35 yards. And he was still out best option at QB after Mitchell left. I think there will be some serious upgrade at the QB position this season. And with that upgrade, we will see a substantial improvement in the overall record.

I looked at a couple dozen predictions and it looks like the fans are giving the Hogs a 7 to 8 win season. Very interesting...

I did the math.  Right now, the average of all predictions is 6.6 regular season wins.  Thats a fairly realistic assessment especially coming from a fan board, imho.

I honestly think this would be much better if you could predict one game at a time. Allow us to predict the coming weeks game up until the Friday before it. You could get two games into the season and realize your predictions are way off! Nonetheless still lots of fun!

But thats why I like the preseason predictions so much --- before the season fan expectations can often be unrealistic.  Once the season starts reality sets in.     Last year, when you examine the predictions, fan expectations were actually much higher than this season.  Which is ironic since Arkansas should not only be better this year but should win more games.

The only flaw with the season predictor contest is that it can't account for injuries.  I.e. If Brandon Allen had remained healthy we likely would have beaten Rutgers and the season would have been much different.

I never go into a season thinking we can't win every game, and I don't care much for the "realists" who are defeated before we get started. Yes, I know that the college football world is betting against us, but who cares? Until we are out of it, we are in it. And I usually don't cheer myself on, but I hope that I win this predictor contest for the sake of our team.

we won 3 games last year and 7 in the last 2 years. Basically the same team is back. We will know in a week if we are in for another long season or if we have improved. First game is important,  it could set the tone for the year. BA has to have a good game or the pressure will consume him. We get blown out and the pressure will be tough to deal with. Win or only lose by 7 or less and that is a huge momuntum builder.
