?..for the most bowl teams played in a season.  Our bowl game makes 10.

Also would like to see how many ranked teams played.

Dumb ole famrboy

Well Alabama could reach 12 bowl teams if they Beat Ohio State. The 6 SEC West Teams, WV, FL, TN, MO and OSU in the Semi-final and then the College Championship Game.

Smite away - You asked.

I think probably got to be ND in the BCS era probably 2012 Nat Champ.

Could've been 11 if UAB hadn't shut down their program.

My bad...guess they didn't get a invite.  Probably due to most kids being able to transfer.  I heard coaches were setting up shop outside the football complex parking lot.

ND played 4 ranked foes in the regular season plus 1 in the national title game.

Can't believe how many of you are focused on 10 games.

There's 11 bowl games and 1 Playoff game for the SEC.

USC-E, Hogs, TAMU, UGA, LSU, MSU, Ole Miss, Mizzou, Auburn, Tinnar and Florida are all bowling this year.

The lower four of theirs were not as good as the lower four of ours.
If I'm going to cheer players and coaches in victory, I damn sure ought to be man enough to stand with them in defeat.

Losing gracefully isn't taught in second-tier programs. See Arkansas, Cincinnati, et al.

Not sure what the all time record is, but I can tell you that this year, among P 5 Conferences, this is the average number of bowl teams played in a single season among all conference members, and that includes future bowl games.

SEC:         9.4
ACC:         8.9
B12:          8.7
P12:          8.0
B10:          7.6

Couple that with the fact that the SEC has more teams playing in bowls speaks volumes.
