University of Arkansas RazorVets Banquet

The University of Arkansas has been doing some good things to help Student Veterans.  They are holding a banquet on November 14, 2014 to honor students, staff and alumni.  The banquet is paid for by donations form the community and is free for you and a guest.  The keynote speaker, is Razorback Track Star John Register, who also is a Persian Gulf War Veteran.  To reserve go to

That's cool to see.  I was recently at my alma mater of UAM and noticed they now have a veterans lounge in one of the main buildings on campus.  I visited it and it looked like a nice, comfortable spot to kill some time between classes.  I was also saddened to learn that UAM is losing its ROTC program.

I know nobody likes ASU but they really take good care of veterans like me and many others. They have the Beck Pride Center for veteran.
