Losing gracefully isn't taught in second-tier programs. See Arkansas, Cincinnati, et al.

James Teague season stats:

5.48    2-3    11      1     21.1

Looks like we just delayed the 4th inning curse for a 5th inning.   Still amazed that Teague was trotted out there in that situation.

I just don't understand continuing to do the same thing over and over than hasn't worked yet. Maybe we don't have a better option. Frustrating.

Maybe the offense kicks in and puts up another crooked number tonight and we find a way to win.

Taco/ Mckinney type pitchers fare better against Gators! They seem to thrive on Alberius/ Teague guys!

and there it is.  Going along okay and they just explode.  Hogs just dont have the pitching talent to compete with teams like FLA.  I thought they did, but it is apparent they do not. FLA may be the best team in the nation, so its not like Hog pitchers are horrible, but the Gators are just on another level.

JHicks3636

Vasquez...2-2..strikes out swinging, runner at 1st picked off by the catcher, runner on 3rd, 2 outs

Maldonado...2-2, error on 3B, run scores, man on 1st, 2 outs

6-1 Florida

DVH is like a God to many on here.  But even if he is, his choices, hunches, experienced decisions have met with failure time after time recently.

Doesn't matter who the coach is, who the players are, we are just bad.

this is just a talent problem. FLA, Vandy, LSU, South Carolina, and maybe Ole Miss have it.  Hogs do not----or at least not enough of it.

Spoke to soon.
Cannon Chadwick coming in to replace Teague.

Chadwick season stats:

I think what it is fair to say is that we are losing as a team

lefty08

I complained all last week about the quick hook, can't really complain DVH tried to go longer and change it up, but it didn't work. Sometimes it doesn't matter what strings you pull

Florida is 31-5 for a reason.
And we are about to lose our 7th straight conference game for a reason

yep, and the reason is---just not enough talent overall.  Sure we can beat some Big 12 teams early in the season or Rice or a Louisiana school not named LSU, but once conference play starts, its as plain as day what the problem is.  Heck, Missouri beat us twice at vaunted Baum Stadium.  We have been swept by SCarolina, Ole Miss and most likely FLA. I mean how the he!! does Ole Miss get more talent than we do?
