Not really. Every fiber of my being says Carolina is a no brainer. That said Vegas wants people to bet the Panthers.  This line should be pushing 7 and go to 7.5 to try and even the money.

Something smells fishy.  I'm sure I will bet it but not large.

On all three early ranked hoops games today and betting all chalk. Favorites day.

From everything I can find the last 24 hours have receieved a lot of money in favor of Bron/peyton.  I think the books are loving getting the Bronco money for just evening out the sides.

I honestly didn't place my Broncos wager just because of all the Bronc betting here. I can't believe I fell for the oky-doke from the Hogville curse. lol

Good defensive game and glad to see Peyton go out on top.
There is no sacred ground for the conquered.

I got some late info from a guy telling me to move everything I have on the broncos moneyline. I did move a lot on the spread, but I didn't play the ml.

gotyacovered

easiest bet to make (and cash) in SB50: Peyton Manning UNDER 238.5 passing yards. hit by almost 100 yards. i didnt play a side... it was an easy decision for me, though... auto fade the pub or nothing. if 6 would have still be available on thursday or friday i woulda been on the broncos. looking back it seems silly of me to draw a line in the sand at 6.

4-0 last night for me, two of them were tails, my personal pick of the night was Georgetown -14.5 for the east win. I am on Tennessee tonight; its a rematch from early jan when they (ten) gave up a nice lead to lose despite winning in basically ever statistical category... now canty is out and tenn will play full throttle lookin' to step on their throats--add in the loss to the hogs on the 6th and it pretty much sums up the way I look at games:

revenge
off a loss
playing a weaker opponent
key player out

only thing that could make it better was if bruce pearl had a nekkid pic of Barnes wife and posted it on instagram.

on a nice little run myself... hit all three of my games last night which included a 2 team parlay that paid $224.

i never bet paylays, but i needed to buy points (Creighton was +1, wanted +2 & Ohio was +1.5, wanted +2). so instead of laying -120/-130 and paying $50 in juice if i get skunked... i bought the points in a parlay and only had half the money invested (and the payout was better). got points, odds and no juice with half the investment, not sure if it was the wise thing to do, but it made sense in my head anyways...

onward.

Lookin' at San Jose St tonight.

UNLV is off a 3 game skid;
Tired bc of double OT loss Saturday, all but one starter played the whole game.

Can't see them playing with a whole lotta fire tonight, bad schedule position and playing for an interim coach, who, undoubtedly will not be there next year.

I also like Texas Tech and the Chicago/Atlanta under (204.5).

Trying to get more into this, so if anyone has a website or something that can help me learn the ins and outs it would be appreciated!

It's a long and (can be) expensive process. Here are my 3 pieces of advice.

1. Starting out, bet flat. $50/game, $100/game... Whatever you do... Stick with it.
2. It is seems obvious/no brainer/lock--go the opposite way.
3. Make a plan and stick to it.

Don't know of one... I get 99% of my info from ESPN app and Twitter. Some others may help you if there is a website that may help you learn... But  I think you will find it's an experience deal--not set rules. some people follow/fade the money (scoresandodds.com is a good resource) and some look for angels that calls for a lot of research, which is what I do. (See my comments about Tennessee and San Jose St... Or any other comments I've made in this thread about specific games). It's common sense and finding good info.

Most websites are full of touts and all they want to "teach" you, is how to reach into your pocket and pay for picks!

Bovada and Sportsbook, no question.

If you have access I much prefer using a local, which I do exclusively.

Go to sportsplays.com and sign up for an account. They give you .50 cents to play with. You can practice and get your system down without risking real money. However, you can grow that 50 cents and cash out real money. It is a really great website for beginners to get their feet wet. I really recommend it.

As far as educating you, the best way is to just ask specific questions . This is such a broad topic, it is hard to key on any one thing. Somewhere in the 199 pages, we had a investing 101 type conversation.

Providence -1.5 (-115)  Providence desperately needs a victory after dropping the last two.  They are the better team than Marquette and I look for them to win after dropping one at home to Marquette at the beginning of conference play.  Marquette shot the eyes out of it Saturday, but that was against a Xavier team who's defense appears to be really struggling.

coming off a 1 loss night... hoping to keep it rolling.

i am looking at two, cant decide which one i like best...

Iowa catchin' 3.5 is one of them. They have something that almost no other squad has--experience--and that is enough for me. this year they have played and won at the following venues:

Ohio St.
Penn St.
Nebraska
Minn
Michigan
North Carolina
Indiana

the other game is Syracuse/Flordia St. Noles have been all over the east in the last 10 days and now they are in the coldest of those trips with rival Miami lingering saturday evening. FSU cant hold onto the ball, bad deal, esp on the road. they also like to shoot the tre and syracuse is gonna hold them to that, leading to short possessions for FSU. on top of that the orange are off wins vs VT, Georgia Tech, a molly hock at ND, Duke, and Wake... the only loss was to Virginia. im on syracuse -3.

split for me yesterday, biggest regret was not hopping on Cal. recommended it to a couple buddys and didnt play it myself. dumb.

1st game on the card... Rhode island.... looking at kenpom and its obvious rhode island is going to try and control the game (slow it down). dayton hasnt been tested as of late and are on a 8 game win stread. they barely beat duquesne(sp?) 3 days ago in a come from behind win. i see the streak ending tonight against #2 team in eff, #2 blocked shots, are protecting the ball and by all accounts are having a late season surge with multiple players getting hot late. i think this is a live dog... BTW Iverson ***might*** play.

i also like USC.

like notre dame to win saturday, cant wait to see the line.

I played 14 plays yesterday  from picks to tails and won 1.5 units.  Almost not worth the effort.  I won't be doing that again, will be backing down to much less than half of that many plays.

I think there might be some value and princeton and yale.  not picking either yet though.

Well, I didn't get to post my play in time, but maybe Gotyacovered will verify it for me. I took Ohio +4.5 tonight.
