I was reading around on hogville and I stumbled onto the Reggie Perry topic in the recruiting thread. With Thomas and Cook at PF Andy Reggie coming in after they graduate do you think Mike will work on Adrio at SF. He is only 6-6, and I think if he can get a jumper and handles down by the time Perry gets here (insert PG)-Jones-Bailey-Reggie-Gafford would be a very long and impressive lineup

I don't see why he couldn't play that spot even just to be a lockdown defender.

Possibly, but Mike has never played someone like Bailey at SF. Remember, Qualls even started out playing an undersized 4 until his developed his jumper. Bailey fits what we want to do as a 4. If he develops a jump shot and improves his handles, he could move down to a 3. Defensively he can play it, but not offensively...as of now.

Only takes one offseason to develop a shot. Just look at our teams free throw shooting from last year compared to this year. Our percentages shot through the roof
That's right, you don't want to be the man to replace the man.  You want to be the man to replace Rory Segrest.

In Qualls' freshman year, he attempted 27 3-pointers. In his sophomore year, he was up to 120. Then 165 his junior year. If Bailey is going to develop into a small forward for Mike, he needs to really pick up the pace.

Darious Hall is a small forward. Can shoot the 3, handle the ball, 6'6" with a 7'0" wingspan. Bailey is a Mike Anderson power forward.

We actually finished this season with the best free throw shooting percent in our entire history, and we made more free throws than we have in any other season.  It looks even more dramatic because, we dipped 3% in 2015-2016 compared to 2014-2015, so when we jumped up 7% to 76.1% in 2016-2017 it was really impressive.

'Only takes one offseason to develop a shot'     Wow!  I can think of some really good players that would disagree with this.Wilt the Stilt is the first that comes to mind.

Bailey HAS to work on his shot. Love his energy and effort, but he missed a couple really wide open looks against UNC. Would have loved to have had those.

Funny thing is that those just happened to be the shots that Thomas was hitting in the other game...I expect that Bailey will work his rear end off this summer. Kid has a lot of talent. Probably has never had to play out on the floor before, spent most of his time in the paint...

No matter how good a jump shooter you are your not going to make them all.

Yep, in most high schools if you are 6-6 you are usually a center or a power forward. That's how it is in Arkansas anyways. Can't speak for Louisiana or other states.

That would be a pretty sick lineup...

Gafford
Perry
Bailey
Jones
Garland

But I don't see Bailey as a 3 here, at least not the predominate one. I think he could definitely fill in at the 3 in some rotations even now. But if anyone is going to be a 3 here it will be Darious Hall and or Rodgerick Brown.

Well no crap. But if you have a wide open shot from 17 feet, you shouldn't be throwing up an air ball either. I think it's clear that one part of Adrio's game that he could put a lot of time in and benefit not only himself but the team, is his shooting.

While a small sample size Bailey shot 32% from the free throw line. He shot well from the floor but he had mostly dunks and layups. IF he can get his shooting more refined it will show at the free throw stripe where I see him being a lot in the future. HE's a strong player and someone that can draw a lot of contact.

Adrio has not shown the ability to handle or shoot the ball. Anything outside a dunk has been a questionable shot for him so far. He could develop some basketball skills to go along with his extreme athletic ability and play more (as we all hope), or he could stay where he is and get passed up by others.

That's pretty strong for his limited playing minutes.

He threw up an air ball? I guess I missed that one. Or forgot about it. He does have nice lift and form on his shot though. That's a good start right there.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was in the first half maybe. Got a wide open look and didn't even draw iron. Don't give me wrong, Adrio gave us a nice lift off the bench and I love his intangibles. But if he could work on his shot I think that would change things big time for us.

No doubt, I love his potential.

2nd best.

No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."
