My own personal calculations using a formula from Steve Klein's Book; The Power of Early Speed.

The lower the number, the more early speed the horse shows.  Several low numbers may indicate a hot pace.  Lone low numbers may predict a wire-wire winner.  All subject to interpretation, of course.

In a nutshell, these figures are similar to Quirin's Speed Points, just a different way to calculate early speed.
