Anyone buying or selling in the cryptocurrency market?  I'm pretty late to the game, but trying to get up to speed.

I've honestly not been able to find a clear cut way of effectively doing it. And while the outlook for some like Bitcoin is no doubt pretty solid, you talk about the ultimate in short term volatility! Makes the casinos and future options look like a senior citizen's dominos party.

Coinbase is all I could come up with.  You can fund money via Credit card or ACH.  From there, you can buy one of the currencies.  I think that's correct.  If anyone has any additional info, I'm up for learning something new.

I agree on the volatility.  I've lost a hundred bucks or so, over the years at Oaklawn.  And I didn't die, so maybe losing a hundred on Bitcoin wouldn't kill me.

Also check out localbitcoin if you don't like the coinbase fees.

Didn't respond to the poll.  If a football coach is responsible for teaching my son morality, I'm not much of a Father.

Checked it out, interesting.  Are you an investor, B?

Not in any serious amounts as of right now. I had a couple BTC that I had gotten really early on but had already gotten rid of them when it went big. Yeah, there was a little bit of butt hurt.
I'm kinda out of the loop as of late though, why did it take a big run over the last few months?
I've used Localbtc a couple times and had good luck but it's pretty hard to beat coinbase for the ease.

Not really sure why these things have gone up so much, except that there are more buyers than sellers right now.  I got into Ethereum just in time for it to drop about 10%.  I don't have enough in it to be too serious, but I know some folks who are plowing tons into this stuff.  The volatility makes me nervous, but I feel pretty good about the concept long term.

No, I fortunately bought mine at the top.  As per usual.  >:(
