North Texas wide receiver Darvin Kidsy charged with involvement in a collision involving personal injury or death.

North Texas' Darvin Kidsy was arrested Friday morning in connection to an alleged hit-and-run accident. According to the Record-Chronicle, the arrest came after Kidsy turned himself into police after the accident.

Kidsy has been charged with involvement in a collision involving personal injury or death.  Kidsy was allegedly the driver of a vehicle that went up on a sidewalk and struck two pedestrians.

University of Miami football players Trevor Darling and Jahair Jones were arrested in Miami Beach on Wednesday night for "resisting officer without violence,'' according to the arrest affidavit.

Both players are offensive linemen, and one of them — 6-5, 320-pound Darling — was the starting left tackle for all 13 games in 2015.

The arrest affidavit for Jones said both men were arrested at 7:35 p.m. in "the middle of the roadway" of the 100 block of Eighth Street in Miami Beach "impeding traffic and placed themselves in a dangerous situation. The defendants were given orders to remove themselves from the roadway'' by two officers "who were in full police uniform. The defendant and co-defendant refused to move and completely ignored the sergeant's commands to move on seven occasions.

"The defendants were arrested and removed from the roadway. Once in custody, the defendant [Jahair Jones] acknowledged he was being asked to move, yet he refused to move'' after being asked several times.''

Noil was released on $600 bond soon after and participated in Texas A&M's scrimmage later that night.

State freshman Anfernee Mullins was arrested Friday and charged with simple assault according to Oktibbeha County Sherrif's Office records.

8:15 a.m. Monday update: According to the Starkville Police Department, Mullins was arrested at 7:53 p.m. Friday at the Scenic Pass in Aspen Heights apartments. He was released on $1,000 bond later in the day.

Mississippi State released this statement regarding the arrest, "Both the Dean of Students office and the Athletics Department are aware of an off-campus incident involving Anfernee Mullins, and are working jointly to learn more about the situation."

Mullins, an Aliceville, Alabama native, redshirted last season. He had been working with the third team this spring in Peter Sirmon's new viper position ["I don't like you because you're dangerous."].

Mullins' arrest comes two weeks after the arrest of five-star MSU signee Jeffery Simmons.

Georgia freshman football players Julian Rochester and Chad Clay were jailed Tuesday morning, each accused of two felonies.

Rochester and Clay were each charged with having a weapon in a school zone, and criminal damage in the second degree.

Both were booked at 12:13 a.m., and remained in jail as of 7:15 a.m.

Both Rochester and Clay are early enrollees. Rochester, a defensive lineman, was one of the team's top recruits. Clay is a defensive back.

The felonies are related to shooting a BB gun.

Both were booked at 12:13 a.m., and remained in jail as of 7 a.m. The criminal damage charge carries a bond of $5,000...

"I'm disappointed with the poor judgment of Julian and Chad," Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said in a statement.  "We expect full compliance with the policies of the University and of our football program from all our student-athletes. Information is still being gathered but they will be disciplined in an appropriate manner."

ATHENS — The arrests of Georgia football players Julian Rochester and Chad Clay came after UGA police reported a total of potentially more than $1,000 damage from BB guns to their rooms and the area adjacent to them.

Police also found "drug-related objects" in the bathroom belonging to Clay, according to the search warrant, but did not find sufficient amounts to charge for that.

Rochester and Clay were each charged with two felony counts, weapons on school grounds and criminal damage to property.

This originally dates back to last Thursday, when police were called to McWhorter Hall, where a structural maintenance foreman – who had entered the room investigating a water leak – had found a BB/pellet gun lying in the residence belonging to Clay and Rochester. It was seen lying on a barstool in an area that divides the kitchen and living room areas.

While there, they also noticed several BBs on the floor of the hallway outside the room, as well as a BB lodged in a hallway light diffuser, and another located in the drywall. A custodian had also advised that she had "cleaned up several BBs from the hallway adjacent" to the rooms, and in the elevators.

At that time, the estimated damage was broken down by the foreman:

    $350 for the door to the adjacent room if it could not be replaced, $100 if it could be repaired.
    $650 to the refrigerator in Rochester and Clay's room
    $75 to the light diffuser in the hallway
    $10 for holes in the wall next to the adjacent room.

Witness statements were then taken from four people, and then a search warrant was sought to search the common areas of the room for any handguns, BB guns, or ammunition or projectiles related to handguns. The warrant was granted, and further investigation of the room found: A total of 12 BB "indentions" on the refrigerator and freezer; several more indentions in the drywall behind the refrigerator; a "great deal" of broken glass on top of the refrigerator; "several" BB indentions on the fronts of six wooden cabinets in the kitchen.

Additional, several wine bottles and two liquor bottles had "apparently" been struck with a BB-sized projectile.

At that point, another search warrant was sought and obtained for the bedrooms. It was in the bathroom of what was identified as Bedroom A – belonging to Clay –

When the news first eked out about Chad Clay and Julian Rochester on Tuesday, it looked bad. All it said next their names in the Athens-Clarke County Jail log was "criminal damage second degree" and "weapon school zone." And next to those lines were the letter "F," as in felonies.

Whether it's your name next to those words or you're a reporter reading them, that's bad news. Serious news.

It wasn't until later, when the players' attorney first shed some light on the subject...

Here's what Kirby Smart is dealing with: He has two freshmen facing felony weapons charges and the added complication of pot residue and a bong being in the room.

Based on the reduced bonds the players ended up getting ($2,000 each), I would guess that the felony charges eventually will be reduced to misdemeanors, as they probably should. The bigger question is how Smart and UGA might decide to handle to the inclusion of marijuana in the police report.

UGA's student-athlete handbook is pretty straight forward when it comes to pot. You can't be involved with it in any way, shape or form. If you are, it's a suspension.

Smart hasn't said yet how he's going to handle this situation other than to assure one and all, "they will be disciplined."

OXFORD - Ole Miss offensive lineman Rod Taylor's arrest April 3 for an alleged shoplifting incident at Walmart may not have come, as first theorized, as the result  of an accident.

Oxford Police Department officer Steven Lewis wrote in a report obtained Tuesday by The Clarion-Ledgerthat Walmart loss prevention employee Gary Ferguson told Lewis that Taylor rang up items in a self-checkout line, paid for those items and then placed items he had not paid for into plastic bags he then put into his shopping cart.

The items in question, according to the report, were: two cans of baked beans; onions; potatoes; a 12-pack of grape soda; Ocean Spray juice; hamburger meat and one bag of charcoal. The total value was $41.53.

While Lewis was transporting Taylor to the Lafayette County Detention Center, Taylor told Lewis that he had been distracted by a phone call about football while checking out his items and forgot to ring up the remainder of the items in his shopping cart, according to the report.

Lewis wrote in the report that during his review of Walmart's security footage he did not see Taylor talking on the phone while checking out.

A source told The Clarion-Ledger last week that Taylor had accidentally failed to pay for two bags of charcoal in a basket underneath his shopping cart.

"If we have a young man that makes a poor decision that gets arrested, there is going to be consequences," coach Hugh Freeze said Saturday. "I have plans that can decide how severe those consequences are based on what you do from this point forward with the poor decision.

"We all make them. It's what you do with it after that. I wish none of them do. But we do. Kids make poor decisions ... adults make poor decisions. He knows exactly where we're headed from here. We'll see what happens. But there are consequences, there will be."

Kirby says he "cannot comment" on whether there will be a suspension or not. It's not as clear cut as Ledbetter's deal.

Both players "might" return to practice on Thursday. Kirby said they had academic issues to catch up on today. Won't comment on G-Day status

Kirby dodged the question about whether he was made aware on April 7th or today.
