Also, today is the deadline for eligible underclassmen to submit their name for the 2016 NFL Draft. List will be official later this week.

Over the last two years, 34.4% of underclassmen who declared early were NOT drafted and 15.5% weren't even invited to the NFL Combine.

QuoteNFL.com's draft guru Daniel Jeremiah listed 13 SEC players in his top 50 draft prospects, including eight players listed inside the top 20.

Top player on Jeremiah's list: Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil...

Alabama's Reggie Ragland was ranked 10th.

Florida's Vernon Hargreaves III, UGA's Leonard Floyd and Alabama's Jarran Reed all followed Ragland, respectively.

Alabama defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson (17th), Ole Miss wideout Laquon Treadwell (18th) and Ole Miss defensive end Robert Nkemdiche (20th)...

Alabama center Ryan Kelly and Arkansas tight end Hunter Henry appear next on the list at 35th and 36th... Derrick Henry showed up next on Jeremiah's rankings at No. 38.

Three's company: After making #Vols wait, Alvin Kamara returning to Tennessee. http://bit.ly/1ZIlXVz

Kamara coming back means Kamara's nose ring and in-game grill also return, which IMO is the bigger development here.

QuoteThough just a sophomore, Kamara was eligible to enter the draft because he's been out of high school for three years, but he'll be back at Tennessee next season, following in the footsteps of linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin and Cameron Sutton.

Those three players were on the fence about going pro, and getting the trio to come back is outstanding for Tennessee's hopes of chasing a championship in 2016.

In his first season with the Vols, Kamara, the former Alabama freshman who came to Tennessee after one year in junior college ran for 698 yards and seven touchdowns and caught 34 passes for 291 yards and three more scores.

Kamara also returned one punt for a score, giving him 11 total touchdowns in his debut season.

The deadline for underclassmen to enter the NFL draft was 5 p.m. on Monday...

QuoteIf you've wondered just how tricky quarterback evaluations are, take a look at some of the new draft boards done by a couple of longtime NFL draft analysts, Bucky Brooks and Daniel Jeremiah.

Brooks ranks his top 5 QBs as 1. Cal's Jared Goff; 2. North Dakota State's Carson Wentz; 3. Michigan State's Connor Cook; 4. Memphis' Paxton Lynch and 5. Penn State's Christian Hackenberg.

In Jeremiah's Top 50 player rankings, he has Wentz rated highest among QBs at No. 7. Goff is next at No. 8. Lynch comes in third among QBs at No. 21. Cook is fourth at No. 42.

"(Recruiting) stars are based almost solely on individual skill set and zero based on the ability to operate a system," said FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt, a record-setting QB at Colorado who will update his NFL Draft Big Board after the Senior Bowl. "With all these guys -- with the possible exception of Hackenberg, outside of his first year with Bill O'Brien -- they all excelled to some degree in the operation of their system, which is what I think is 80 percent of quarterbacking. They (the online recruiting sites) generally just sit on skill set as opposed to how they operate."

Along with Hackenberg, the other consensus top-rated, pro-style quarterback prospect from the online recruiting services in the 2013 class was Max Browne...

After that, according to Rivals, it was Hayden Rettig, Shane Morris and Jeremy Johnson. The top-rated QBs from the 2012 class were Jameis Winston, Gunner Kiel and Zach Kline...

In 2011 it was some order of Jeff Driskel, Kiehl Frazier, Cody Kessler, Max Wittek and Christian LeMay...

NFL draft: The good, the bad, the 'meh' of the SEC's early-exit list http://sec.news/1Jqu8P9

QuoteWINNER: Chris Jones' NFL draft stock
SUMMARY: It's hard to find fault with Jones' early exit from rebuilding Mississippi State, which must move forward without Dak Prescott — the most decorated quarterback in school history.

At 6-foot-5, 308 pounds, Jones projects to be a Round 2 or 3 selection and one of the first 10 defensive tackles off the board. By extension, it's easy to forecast Jones enjoying a 10-year career at the next level, given his immense size, top-notch athleticism, superb instincts and sterling college production (8.5 sacks, 17.5 tackles for loss).

Bottom line: If Jones had been with Alabama this season ... it might have been difficult to discern the major differences between him and A'Shawn Robinson.

Mel Jr.'s Big Board is not a prediction of where guys will be drafted, only where I have them ranked.

Quote3. *Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss Rebels

Missed a lot of time, but not due to injury. And looked good upon return. The entire skill set is there. He is flexible, quick, powerful and long. I still think he's the best pass-blocker in the draft at this point in my evals, a guy who wouldn't look out of place if he had to play on Sundays this season. Nimble but strong, he has all the traits you look for at that spot.

An asterisk denotes a player who was a junior for the 2015 season.

South Carolina's Brandon Wilds will go to NFL Combine http://bit.ly/1ZQ4wNx  #thestate #gg

Quote"It's huge," Wilds said early this week. "I worked all my life up to this point, so that was a big offer when looked at my email and saw I was invited to the Combine. Everybody would always see it on TV. I'd be in college, seeing my former teammates participate in it. Whether I'm in class, watching it when I'm not supposed to."

Now it's back to the almost-monkish life at IMG. He said he's on a strict workout diet, and spends the days going through workouts, running routes and even taking classes on minutiae such as breathing technique.

Soon enough he'll be bound for Indiana, ready to get poked, prodded and tested along with more than 300 of the top pro prospects nationally (323 attended last year). With the next step in his sights, he understands he'll have to do whatever is asked to earn his spot on the next level.

Alabama QB Jake Coker's draft status should remain unchanged — even without invite to NFL combine http://sec.news/20Bp3FX

Quote... in the eyes of NFL and its combine-invite committee, Coker might have been better served playing at ... some largely anonymous college outpost ...

1) At 6-foot-5, 240 pounds, Coker (classic pocket passer) won't be running any read-option offenses at the pro level, making his 40-yard dash time irrelevant. The same holds true for the "Three-Cone Drill" —

2) A flood of NFL scouts will be at Alabama's Pro Day

3) Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, the former head coach of the Oakland Raiders, has friends and acquaintances within NFL front offices.

4) There's no discernible advantage to throwing at the combine, since the majority of quarterbacks have little prior knowledge of their pass-catching cohorts' speed and route-running abilities —

Will an NFL team draft D'haquille Williams? http://www.al.com/auburnfootball/index.ssf/2016/02/will_an_nfl_team_draft_dhaquille_williams.html ...

@MelKiperESPN weighs in on the receiver he once said was No. 1

QuoteWilliams' draft stock quickly plummeted and some believe he may not be drafted, but the NFL Combine this week in Indianapolis will provide an opportunity for him to win over teams and regain their confidence.

"The fact that he's there and there are some other good receivers aren't is the reason why you have to take advantage of it," Kiper said. "You have to be thankful you're there, No. 1, because some pretty good receivers aren't invited that had a much better year than he did -- and a much better finish to their career than he did. Be thankful you're there and maximize. He's had plenty of time to get ready for it."

Here are Mel Kiper Jr.'s thoughts on Ole Miss' big three with the combine starting tomorrow: http://on.thec-l.com/1QxHZpH

QuoteLaquon Treadwell caught more than 200 passes in his three-year Ole Miss career, but ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. still has questions about the wide receiver's draft stock...  Kiper projected the Los Angeles Rams to select Treadwell with the 15th overall pick...

Kiper also projected former left tackle Laremy Tunsil to be chosen first overall by the Tennessee Titans...

Kiper predicted the third former Ole Miss player to declare early for the draft, Robert Nkemdiche, would be taken at No. 26 by the Seattle Seahawks.

The defensive tackle has been widely projected to go within the top 10 picks, but Kiper believes teams may be concerned with his off-field issues and production while at Ole Miss...

Derrick Henry's NFL Combine performance almost completely mirrors Von Miller's

Quote"Could Derrick Henry play linebacker in the NFL?"

I realize asking if running backs would be good linebackers is like wondering if deer would make effective pack hunters. Then again, if a particular deer is jacked beyond belief and willing to run through walls to get what it wants, the pallor of the question changes a bit.

I mean, I wouldn't want to see Derrick Henry running full-speed to tackle me with hate in his eyes. Not even once.

Some thought Saban would move Henry to the defensive side.

McShay: Former South Carolina TE Jerell Adams may have 'highest ceiling of all the tight ends in this class'

QuoteAfter impressing at the Senior Bowl in January, Adams ran the fastest 40-yard dash among tight ends (4.64 seconds) and also posted a top-5 short shuttle. ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay said the NFL combine opened his eyes to the South Carolina tight end.

"Hunter Henry from Arkansas is the closest. But I think Adams may have the highest ceiling of all the tight ends in this class, and combined with watching tape and then getting the confirmed workout numbers I moved him up to No. 2 on my tight end board."

Adams went from a mid-Day 3 pick in the draft to the second-ranked tight end available, at least according to McShay. That could spell a raise, once his draft-slot is determined – assuming he lands somewhere in the second round instead of the late-fourth or early-fifth – of $1.5 million over four years.

According to McShay's evaluation, Adams may benefit $1.5 million for two months of hard work and two excellent demonstrations at back-to-back pre-draft events.
