Seems to me with the recruits we have coming in (Youngblood and the Warren 4) that a coach that's not afraid to air it out might fit pretty well whether it be Gus, Leach or another spread offense coach.

But how could this "report" get out if the process is being done so secretly?  ???
We've heard no official reports of any other coach being contacted at all, despite all the rumors. Lots of discussion on here and the radio, yes, but not local news reports. It's just weird.

This is quite possibly the worst possible candidate, which means we're stuck with him. I love my school. Perhaps I'll have to go get a PhD so I can become Chancellor. I honestly don't see why we would dump Nutt for Leach. I think Leach is worse than Nutt (purely football wise -- as a person I don't know). THIS is what I get for wishing anyone but Nutt. I'll support him, but this StayPuff Marshmallow Man isn't going to be able to recruit well here.

My thoughts.........If the new AD is going to make a dumb decision like this then we need to get rid of his A** too!  I mean seriously, why would you take a step down?  Pay the money and get a coach that can take us to a championship and quit jackin around. it does not matter what we think during this search anyway
they will hire who they will hire, they will say whatever they will say - like white on monday
but, after he sucks then we can complain enough to get him out like the special guy with a lot of heart
however, he may be more interesting than a boring 1927-era playbook, and he may be too dang scary for people who like predictability
sure, he's flaky, but most geniuses cannot speak off the cuff like pretty boy media darlings

Spurrier didn't do it this year, Les Miles didn't do it this year, TT didn't do it last year - one big pass play early in the game and they were so scared of it they didn't have anyway to see what else was going on in our game, or they forgot to watch our tapes ("oh, peyton can run?" says les miles)

I'ld take Herring over Leach any day as head coach. He'll let the coaches coach and play physical ball. Leach plays flag football and would get his team killed in the SEC.
