Looks like a done deal to me.

IF it's Leach, he needs to hire a great defensive coordinator.
Hoping the Hogs basketball fortunes change for the better this season.

Since I'm not a paying subscriber to rivals.com or scout.com could you summarize what the post says?

Since I am not a member all I got to see was the headline of the post. Which is the same name as thread you started here. What does the post say? Can you tell us? If not, then how do you know it is a done deal? What makes you think that its a done deal?

why is he going to Little Rock?

They're probably confused about where the university is.

Could there be a WR in LR that Leach is interested in?

Hmmmm. Interesting. An interview maybe? I will support whoever they bring in and if it's Leach he better bring a great D coor. He is not one of my top choices, but I would not be too broken up. He should be able to recruit better in Arkansas than in Lubbock. Again I will support the new coach until he gives me a reason not too.

on the team page it looks like he is visiting Jarius Wright because it says Jarius confirms his commitment isn't firm to the U of A

It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. When he was OC at Oklahoma his offenses were terrific.  Run and pass, both unstoppable.

No way to Leach.Iam kin to some huge Texas Tech folks and they were ready to run him off before the OU game. His teams have never played defense and the question will remain as to whether that pass 95% of the time offense will work in the sec since Alabama held them to nearly nothing a few years ago inthe cotton bowl.If this is it we should have kept Nutt.

Leech is Gus without the class and significant upside.

There's no reason to shoot their wads early although with 12 and soon to be 13 D-1 jobs open we do need to be ahead of the curve.

he is one of the few coaches that could actually win some games next year with or talent or lack of based on his style alone.  and then he could build on that with his recruiting

I had rather have Gus than Leach.
me too, but the huggers won't let it happen.

I'll take anyone just to get rid of Nutt.  Bring him in and give him 3 to 4 years.  If he doesn't pan out, fire him and move on.

He landed in LR and took a car to Warren to go see Jarius Wright.

He isn't going to make a decision until the UCLA job comes open. I think we would rather go back to the west coast. He was born in California and got his coaching start there and got a freaking law degree from Pepperdine. Heck, does Nutt even know what a law degree is?

Um.  No.

He was OC for one Oklahoma team, a team that went 7-5 in Stoops' first season;  Mangino coached the best offenses in Oklahoma history.

OK, so who is hating on Leach?  Is it the Huggers or the Darksiders?  I can see the huggers wanting to prove Houston was better, and I can see the Darksiders wanting someone like Jimmy Johnson.

Yeah;  Tech is still trying to pry some of our Warren commitments out from their plans.

Makes a lot of sense.  Long worked for Castiglione (sp), who hired Stoops. Stoops brought in Leach from Kentucky because it was the one offense that drove him nuts when he was the DC for Florida.

My guess?  Long knows Leach and what he can do and he falls from the Stoop's family tree.  I agree that I don't know what to think, but the talking heads say Leach could do better at a bigger school recruiting-wise than he can at TTech.

In summation? What the hell - it could be entertaining.  Especially if HDN goes to Ole Miss.  If he brings in a strong DC (or keeps Herring) he might be on to something.
