That Arkansas will not let Houston Nutt get away but if he does look for Ole Miss to get him... Great Ole Miss make an offer the Nutt can not refuse.....

josh_sec33

yes we will let him get away.

Please let him get away.

On a scale of "DGB is a Hog" to "Bobby had a girl on the back of that bike," how sure are you?

bigredone

Archie took too many hits to the head in his career. They will gladly let Nutty walk.

Pour on the teflon, he's got to be able to get away.

deltahogfan

Those who get there first with the most.

RedyorNot

Anyone know how close Archie is to the PTB at Ole Miss?

RazorNick

Close down I-40 and give him a police escort straight outta here!

Cartoon Man

I don't care where he goes, just get rid of him already.

WBChogfan

Ole Miss would be a good fit for Dale.  He could get them to win some games they shouldn't (i.e. any of the games), and we could still consistently pound them.

BigSexyHog

Lebron raised money for kids... Rotnei stole crap from the equipment room

razorbrass

Its too bad Archie didn't have better protection in the NFL.  It sounds like he got hit upside the head one to many times.
Ladies and Gentlemen can I please have your attention.  I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story and I need all of you to stop what you are doing and listen!

Did Archie really say that?

Yeah he said that talking to Spencer Tillman. Makes me want to write a contract myself and mail it to Ole Miss. I predict that the UoA will make Nutt an offer which makes me want to :puke:

hoghearted

+1 to everyone in this thread, and let's hope Archie is on the selection committee to steal Houston and his Nutts away from Arkansas.

Lets hope Ole Miss is contacting Nutt as we speak!

BSEE78

This would be perfact, Nutt gone and an instant revival of the Ole Miss - Arkansas rivalry of decades past, based on good old fashioned hate.

Kevin

i would not be surprised if the deal is not done.  ole miss sure seemed to do a knee jerk action on their firing.  just 3 years in.

I think most of us fans are just very happy about yesterday's win and tired of all the negativity.

so i wonder if all these "Razorback fans" (aka huggers) that are popping out from underneath their rocks will follow nutt to ole miss. they treat him like he is bigger than the program.

No, the "huggers" support Nutt because he is the head coach of the program. If Nutt goes, they will remain Razorback fans.

Unlike the Darksiders, who switch allegiances due to their their unnatural man-love for Gus Malzahn and Mitch Mustain.

grayhawg

Thanks for helping us find a place for our Nutt Archie. ;D

Archie has his own room in the athletic complex complete with sofas, fireplace (if I remember correctly), and all the walls lined with memorabilia. He is a god at Ole Miss.

claycohog

HDN is a total moron if he goes to Ole Piss.  If he thinks the SEC is tough while at Arkansas wait until he tries to recruit against Miss St. and Southern Miss for talent in the state.  I think the rest of the SEC recruits Mississippi pretty well also.

Why was Danny Ford ever fired then?
What were we arguing about anyway?

Archie wasnt' pleased about this, was he?

As soon as I heard Ole Miss let their coach go, I also thought it could be likely they could show interest in Nutt.

Any team that has struggled to run the ball would at least have to be curious about Nutt after seeing us lead the SEC in rushing like we have. When the WildHog is clicking, it is fun to watch. There are probably even some in Michigan who would love to be able to run the ball like that.

I'm not predicting anyone will pull the trigger on Nutt, but I can understand why there would be interest there.

Hogwaller

The fans there are a little on the crazy side. Arkansas is quite conservative in comparison.

Acted sincere.  Nutt would be better than Ed the Ogre and only figures to coach another five years anyway so it's not a great risk for them.

Heck, I think they'd steal another SEC coach regardless of ability just to show up Tubberville.

tophawg19

so we can stick our nutts in mississippi again huh.
if you ain't a hawg you ain't chitlins

WilsonHog

Nutt is 9-1 against Mississippi State and 7-3 against Ole Miss.

He's beaten Auburn, Alabama, and LSU enough to give the Rebel fans some hope that he could do the same thing in Oxford.

The question will be how much money Ole Miss will spend and whether Nutt thinks he can win at Ole Miss.

As between Ole Miss, Baylor, and SMU, I think he would go to Oxford.

I will drive Houston to Oxford, Miss myself (while wearing soundproof headphones of course  ;D)

hoghearted

He'd be a perfect fit. Go, Houston, Go. Far away.

David Cutcliffe wasn't good enough for them. They fired him and they haven't been worth a crap since.

Hogwaller

Hey, if that's who Archie wants, you can bet Ole Miss will go after him. Archie does no wrong. The Great Arch has spoken!

They fired Cutcliffe because he quit recruiting.

Interesting.....on Nov. 8th @ the Tulsa Razorback Club basketball tip-off party, Dudley D predicted Nutt to Ole Miss.  Said he didn't have any inside info, just a gut feeling.

If so, only because Orgeron out-recruited nutt the past couple years...still can't see it happening, however.  HE'S STILL HOUSTON DALE NUTT!!!!

Nutt would actually be a good fit for Ole Miss. They don't care about being mediocre because they haven't even gotten there yet. Nutt gets his occasional wins that he shouldn't also and could get them to some bowl games. I think they are a match made in heaven.

My son along with the family went on a recruiting visit to Ole Miss when he was there. We were treated like royalty. Went to Arkansas on a similar visit and it was pitiful in comparison. He had one off year after having had a fair amount of success and he was out the door.

HouSwine

Now even those outside Arkansas will understand why we say "Thank God for Mississippi"

ShirtlessinFaynam

Makes sense to me.  Jevan Sneed, a blue chip QB that transferred in from the Longhorns, will be eligible next year.  What would be a better place for Nutt to go then a place where he can handcuff a 5 star QB.

Dale would bring them back up to the middle of the pack in the West.  And not wanting to lose that UA-OM game would be an incentive to drive both programs to get better.  If OM can raise the money this looks like a win-win.
