Will anyone pick the Hogs?

My vote went to LSU...

ckhawgu

LSU is tough at home! Our D is to weak to stop the Tigers in Death Valley.

Some facts about the Golden Boot:
• Debuted in 1996 (LSU won 17-7)
• Made of 24-karat gold
• 4 feet tall
• Almost 200 pounds (believed to be the heaviest trophy in college football rivarly games)
• Worth about $10,000
• Quite possibly the ugliest trophy in college football

If we play like we did on Saturday, I think we win.

are you serious?

we gave up over 400 yards agaisnt Miss St. Not overall yards, PASSING yards against Miss St!

no way we win this one.

our defense is weak and our offense is too one diminsional

Yes, I'm serious.  I didn't make the game as I attended the Memphis / UAB game. So unfortunately, my analysis has been limited to box score stats. I liked what I saw ,however. If Casey can have the kind of passing game he had yesterday and we get Felix back healthy. I say yeah, we beat LSU.

Our defense will NOT be a problem next week.

Sir Squeal-A-Lot

unfortunately LSU...    >:(

i wish i didnt have to say that, but, the truth hurts i suppose...

but, ill still be hoping and wishing for my Hogs to atleast PLAY em, give em a good game anyway!!! ATLEAST make it worth watching!!!

:razorback: GO HOGS!!!  :razorback:

beating the yellow laundry on the field seems to be a common practice in the SEC!!!

LSU wins, but it won't be a blowout. LSU has not blown out any SEC team since State. Our defense is hurt and is playing tired. Arkansas will put up some points on LSU's defense. McFadden will get around 150 yards rushing, but it won't be enough.

If Jones is hurt and can't play then it really hurts Arkansas' chances. If Jones were to play then Arkansas could really cause some damage if they went to the Wild Hog formation quite a bit. LSU is very susceptible to mobile QB's.

The reason why LSU wins the game is because of our offense. LSU has scored a miniumum of 28 points this year and only Florida and Auburn kept them to that low total. Arkansas shouldn't be able to keep LSU from scoring 35.

I look for a score of 38 to 24 with it being a one score game in the 4th quarter.

our defense has been a problem the entire season outside of the auburn game. Our defensive recruiting has been terrible overall.

plus reggie herring is not a good coach

I want us to win.  But, I'm being realistic.  We do not have the coaching power to win against LSU, either offensively or defensively.  Not only is our offense one dimensional, but so is our defense with Reggie plays his man-to-man right into the ground.

A previous poster brought up recruiting. Now there is a whole new concept.  If HDN could stop stroking his own ego long enough to put some effort and attention into helping with recruitment, some of the fine athletes we have let get away would be playing for us instead of everywhere else.  But, then again what parent or athlete would ever believe him after the way he treated the Springdale players and allowed his friends and family to behave toward them.

That said, what difference would it make if he was better at recruiting?  He can't coach the undeniable top quality athletes he has right now.  What would a real coach do with players like McFadden, Jones, and Monk to name a few?

I say LSU, but what do I know?  Based on the TN. game I picked Ms. State by 10.
My all time Razorback favs.....

1. 1969 Shootout (Longhorns 'n Hogs football)
2.  Great Alaska Shootout under Eddie Sutton
3.  Orange Bowl CLASSIC under the Great Lou
4.  Rollin w/Nolan AND the '94 NC
5.  Being able to see Nolan and Company at the Aloha Classic in Honolulu (Dec '94) & all of us breaking bread together at a luau, & watching Nolan do the hula after being called onstage. AWESOME!  It doesn't get any better than that.

HangTenHog

Is Nutt going to cry in the locker room again? This time before the game?

Aw....doesn't matter....LSU by a few.

Is that a Final score or is that at the end of the first quarter?

LSU is going to treat us like an ugly step-child!

Unfortunately, Miss State was the #117 ranked offense in the country and they rang up a bazillion yards on us.  LSU is in the top 10.  Yikes.

LSU.  Just because I don't want nutter to go out on positive note.

That is my pick too...LSU 42-24.

I hate that I have to pick that, but I just can't find any reason to pick Arkansas.  I just hope DMAC can have one of his crazy-good games on national TV in his last regular season Razorback game.

For the players: Go Hogs!  For DMW: Go to Baylor!

Not to split hairs, but I believe that a 200 pound 24 karat gold trophy would be worth a tad more than ten grand.
It simply has to be 24 karat gold plated, as opposed to 24 karat solid gold.

Calling All Hogs

I'm guessing LSU. Nutt's not real strong on having 2 big victories in a row.

Nutt is gone whether he wins or loses, But we will lose...LSU will win...even though I want the Hogs to win, for DMAC's sake.

bigheadred

I am going out on a limb and pick Arkansas 34 to LSU 31. I know they are the better team but I have my hopes up for an upset. I honestly feel we lost some games we should have won. Meaning Alabama and Auborn. I think we are better than we have played. I agree our defense is weak but has gotten better minus the Tennessee game.

I'm going to say we win, just b/c DMAC knows it's his last chance to win that boot that's eluded him the past two years.  We lost to them by less than a field goal the past two years I believe...  I know it's in Baton Rouge, I bet it will help the rivalry if we knock them from the NC game in Death Valley HAHAHA!

HogNation wins the war with Nutt's departure soon after.

Miles wins big to drive his value up for Michigan.  No way he loses focus and gets outcoached by Nutt, Lee and Herring.
