No he won't. There are so many games that first day that OU's ratings will more than likely be lower than most other games. There's not enough of an OU basketball following to push the needle. People will tune in toward the second half to watch them lose. OU is a complete basketball joke.

Trae Young is the reason for OU, amazing start to the season and a top 10 pick in the NBA draft.  I follow NBA more than college actually, Trae projects well to the NBA.  NCAA better kiss up to the NBA before they take one and done away.

You guys realize butler beat Villanova this year right?

Played a tough schedule and their losses were close games. They played Purdue tough at Purdue losing a very close game. Not a good draw but we have to lace em up and win a couple games.

Really don't think Oklahoma (18-13), Texas (19-14), or Bama (19-15) should have gotten in. Glad the SEC got some love but some pretty good mid majors get left out again....sucks!

Again all 3 of those teams have top 10 NBA prospects.

Gives the NBA scouts more to go on when they are drafted in 101 days.

I agree with that. I just don't think he will be a draw for TV sets. That's all I'm saying.

Where are you all seeing where our games would be located? I haven't seen any brackets that list it.

http://butlersports.com/roster.aspx?path=mbball    NO 7 footers on this roster maybe you don't know what 7 footers actually mean..

Everybody else understood they were talking about Purdue, not Butler. Except you.

Has anyone seen Butler this year?  How tough are they going to be?

This is a step back year for Butler.  They're not bad, and they're certainly experienced....but this is a game we should be and will be favored to win.

They don't shoot as well from deep as previous incarnations, and they rely on 3 pointer volume for scoring a bit.  They're less tenacious as rebounders, as well-- we actually rebound slightly better.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Yeah, that concerns me too.

Any time a team shoots 60% from the field, and 68% from 3, they're going to give anyone nightmares.

The question is, is this normal for Butler?

The answer, as proven out over the season, is no.

There are nights when everything falls.  They happened to get Nova on one of those;  and they still would have had some issues with Nova, had Nova shot its average from 3.

Yeah your right, all it does really is give scouts more tape.

Have to see Trae in a more pressure situation.  I will watch as many as I can, but I will be paying attention to the great young NBA talents this year.  Ayton, Bagley, JJJ, Bamba, Carter, Sexton, Young and such will make scouts show up.

Also, didn't Nova have one of their starters out for that game? I've watched Butler this year and we can beat them and probably should. We can also beat Purdue just need to hope they a tough first round game and then apply pressure and get the game up-tempo. Not a bad draw as far as competition but the location is crap. I'd rather play Butler then say Ill-Chicago.

Oklahoma and Texas were terrible choices.

The 4 teams that should have got in were St. Mary's, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, and Southern Cal.

Oklahoma State beat Kansas twice.  OSU also beat West Virginia once.

Mississippi State beat Arkansas, Missouri, Alabama, and Texas A&M, who are all NCAAT teams.

Tennessee could also attest that Mississippi State should have been in after that tough SEC Tournament game Tennessee had with Mississippi State.

I sure didn't. I am not concerned about Purdue at this point. I was talking about Butler.

Bad draw for the Hogs.
It's not.

As far as path to the Sweet 16 is concerned, we probably have the best draw out of all the 7-seeds.

I'll admit I know nothing about Butler this year.  I know they have the win over Villanova, but like others have already pointed out, they had an out-of-body experience in that game similar to what Tennessee had against us yesterday.

Getting put in the Detroit pod sucks.  Had we been a 6-seed, we'd be playing Dallas which would've meant our first two games would've been virtual home games.  However, in comparison to other 7-seed draws, Butler and (possibly) Purdue is the most favorable.  Purdue built the strength of their resume the first 20ish games of their season.  Four of their six losses on the season came in their last nine games.  Granted, three of those four losses came to Ohio State (home), Michigan State (road), and Michigan (home).  But they also lost to non-tourney Wisconsin on the road an won single-digit games against Penn State twice, Rutgers, and Illinois.
