Time line on hiring a new AD

I don't know how long these things take, but our season is fast approaching its end.  Seems like if a new HC is going to be hired, we would need an AD in place to do it. 

Can we get a new AD in a week?  Before football ends?

Can we? Yes.
Should we? No.
They may already have candidates calling, but they will need to take their time and choose the right person.   Even if they have the heir apparent identified, they need to appear to have considered several options.
