"Coach Freeze, he loves and cares for these kids," the elder Patterson said. "Enough's enough. He's going to move on with his life. He leaves behind a bunch of people and a bunch of kids that will always care for him, no matter what anyone says. Because who really knows the truth? Who really knows?"

Haha, oh don't worry that'll come out soon enough.

I didn't read it that way. I read it as him blaming Nutt for the timing and the way it ruined media day for 3 Ole Miss players/kids when the same result could have been had if he had just waited a couple days and let the kids have their day in the sun.

GoHogzzGo

Houston Nutt is such a jerk for making Hugh Freeze pay recruits and call escort services.

If Ole Miss doesn't like the timing, then don't pull that crap.
Success isn't permanent and failure isn't fatal.

The truth is his son in on a sinking ship of a team. With nothing to play for, and likely more sanctions heading down the pipe.

Well, the girls at Briarcrest seem to think they know a lot of the truth against Hugh.  There are some pretty nasty allegations out there right now from some of them.

I doubt a guy his age lived a morally clean life then just suddenly decides to start calling up escorts.

It appears the OM inducements are up to date with dad.

I still don't think Freeze was doing "charity" work like Nutt.  I think the women were for players, but that angle will never be exposed.

There have been rumors floating that he slept with at least one student on the girls basketball team he coached.  You'll find these all over MSU or Memphis boards.

Yep, pretty much what you would expect from the TCTWF.  On one hand I can see the dad being rightfully ticked off, but on the other hand who thinks his other son would have a job @Ole Miss if little brother wasn't a 5 star?

The best thing that could happen for the OM players would be for more sanctions to come down quickly so that the players can transfer to other schools without sitting out a year.

I actually think Nutt did the school a huge favor by giving them the info on Freeze instead of turning it ver straight to the media. OM could then take matters into their hands a little bit.

blame Nutt for the timing, all Nutt's fault when apparently none of the blame for causing the opportunity for the timing
was  on  Freeze........Mr. Patterson's take doesn't mean a lot related to the reality of the situation.......

Yeah.  I am wondering if Hugh Freeze will be seeing some criminal investigation or civil lawsuit coming his way soon.

Not only did Patterson's dad take cash for his kid to sign with Ole Miss, he also forced his older son, onto the Ole Miss staff. So, Stfu and enjoy the fruits of your cash rewards pop.

One coach lies about extramarital affair.  One coach lies about hiring escorts for players while school is in the middle of the most extensive NCAA investigation in decades.  One snowflake draws a false comparison between the two in order to justify his support for losing.

Point well made. There is no comparison between what Petrino did and what Hugh Freeze did. What Freeze has done is light years worse and he was fired for what he did, NOT for lying about it. He was going to be forced out because of the NCAA investigation anyway. They were just looking for a reason to force him out that had nothing to do with the investigation and he gave it to them.

Petrino is back in coaching and doing quite well, thank you. It is doubtful Nutt or Freeze will ever coach again. Next.

How about this:

Petrino has done his penance for his misdeeds while coach at Arkansas.  He claims to have reformed his ways.  If Bielema resigns or is fired in the next year or two, how would you feel about the University making overtures to rehire him (disregarding his current buy-out clause)?  Would it cause a maelstorm among fans, or would most be willing to forgive and forget?

Petrino went about his day pretty much as the *** he is, no one really liked being around him he was just a very good football coach who got great results from his teams, he didn't pretend to be anything he wasn't, yea he started lying when he got caught but before he got caught  he wasn't preaching daily what a man of integrity,  character , love and caring he was.   While Freeze it appears  set out each day with a plan  to completely mask the slimeball he now appears to be  by tweeting bible verses, preaching building young mens character above wins, putting himself out as an example of how to live your life.  to me that makes Petrino >Freeze  .........looking back at old videos of preacher Freeze he now just looks downright creepy....

I'd be open to it but to be honest, I seriously doubt that would happen because Jeff Long would never agree to it and would resign before being forced to rehire him. There are some Hogs fans who would pitch a fit if he was re-hired though. I don't see Bobby ever returning to coach at Arkansas but I can see a head coach who runs his scheme being hired.

That being said, I'm not ready to give up on Bret Bielema yet.
