Interesting. I would think that since Ole Miss's defense to the NCAA is largely tied to defending Freeze, that this might be their position.

I'm not sure I agree with those who say yesterday's events help Ole Miss. It wasn't an investigation initiated by Ole Miss that led to yesterday's findings. Only through Nutt's lawsuit was this brought to light. Ole Miss was adamant in their press conference that his dismissal had nothing to do with anything other than his personal misconduct.

I'm not sure that their claim that his only fault lies in his personal conduct will assist their defense with the NCAA. It would seem that Freeze's conflicting statements about daring people to send in rule violations via twitter might not be seen through the same lens as they might once have been.

No news here. We have people in this state and on this board that will still defend Petrino to their grave.

Those people are not the chancellor or the AD.

Bingo. That's why I'll Take a clean ran program and winning 7 games over worrying about my program getting bowl bans, fired coaches, etc. We have done that once. I don't want that dark cloud hanging over the program so everyone will have another thing to point and laugh at Arkansas about.

That's OK, they can just continue to point and laugh at our football team.

Archie has certainly remained (publicly) silent.
Wonder if he'll head up the search committee again this time?

Bingo!! Now there is an idea. Maybe that's exactly what our coaches and team should play during halftime instead of discussing second half strategy. Just tell the players to play the second half as they did the first half we we have the lead.

They laugh at us anyways. Back to being the ugly step child of the SEC.

Publicly they aren't laughing at Arkansas, but privately they've been laughing at Arkansas since April of 2012.  Now though, the Ole Miss people aren't laughing any more.

Huge Freeze was forced out at Ole Miss but his former boss says he ran the football program right.

They have no choice. They went all-in with Freeze. If they suddenly change course then they will get slammed with LOIC, which would cost millions more than they are already facing.

Well said. They were going to push Freeze out because of the violations anyway. They just wanted to find a reason to force him out that wasn't connected to the NCAA investigation and Freeze gave them the reason they needed. Now they can defend the way he ran things and cover their own backsides.

Only winning 7 games a year, year after year is enough to laugh about.  Irrelevance!
And you are still here why?
It's not about the money...it's about the amount of money.

Of course they will defend a guy when he stands up and takes the fall for the program.  As if Freeze was going to step up and admit the calls were to procure favors for recruits and players?  That would have Ole Miss flirting within grounds of SMU territory, though I doubt the NCAA will ever issue another death penalty, the sanctions would be deep.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you the guy who thinks it's brain dead dumb for people to spend $$ and time out of schedule supporting the program? Game costs, ticket costs, donations, travel time and expenses, etc? Pretty sure that is you.
Thanks for the F Shack.

That would certainly fit his posts agenda.

Doesn't it make perfect sense Mike?  Freeze knows where the bodies are buried. The escort service forced his ouster, and  I would imagine that in his talks with the AD and Chancellor he would not divulge anything if they continued to back him to avoid a show cause if possible.

To add a "sig line" or "signature line": Go to your "profile" then go to "modify profile" then scroll down to where it says "Signature" and type in what you want it to say and then click on "change profile". That's it, you're done. Your sig line will only show up on your first post on each page.

Freeze has pics of his AD hanging out with a guy in Siloam Springs.  There's a donkey involved.
