Winner of the MSU and Georgia game plays the Hogs. Georgia has been playing a lot better lately. With a record well below .500 they have no chance of making the NCAAT unless they win the SECT, so they will be going all out to win every game. I would not be surprised to see Georgia beat MSU.

I don't care who we play.  We just need to win one to get to 40.

S. Carolina leads Vandy 4-3 in the bottom of the 4th with Vandy batting. Pitching match-up was Scott for SC v. Ruppenthal for Vandy. SC makes a pitching change during the 4th. Scott had only given up 2 hits but had walked 5. He leaves having already given up 3 runs and runners at 1st and 2nd with 1 out. Reliever gets SC out of the inning without damage. 4-3 SC after 4 full.

Wisco Pig

Vanderbilt has just tied South Carolina at 4 in the bottom of the seventh, thanks to a solo home run from an unlikely source: light-hitting shortstop Connor Kaiser.  It's his first homer of the year.

A&M-Mizzou up next. I hate both. Who are Hog fans rooting for?

Nobody in my house noticed until I murmered "I'd like to stab that guy in the eye". About 5 minutes later my wife and 9 year old son were climbing the walls.

He is an idiot.
There are fans and there are supporters. The latter carries the weight.

Always nice to know who teams pitch in the early games. Missouri started Houck and he has been knocked around pretty good. A&M started Doxakis who lasted 1 inning. Chafin has worked 2 innings in relief. Game is now 6-4 A&M in the top of the 4th. A&M is the home team.

Mizzou with a grand salami. Up 8-6 in the 4th with no outs

At the pace of these games, the last game might start at midnight!

Game 3 was supposed to start at 5:30.

MSU is starting Pilkington tonight, which is good news for us if they win. I haven't heard who UGA is starting.

Actually it was suppose to start at 4:30 CDT. This always seems to happen. I mentioned in another thread about the late Arkansas games I have been to in years past that got me back to Huntsville late in the night. If any games get rained out it becomes a nightmare.

10-7 Missouri but aTm has a field goal at the plate.

10-7 Missouri after 5 as they play in a fairly heavy rain.

Had a lightening strike within 6 miles so game will be delayed at least 30 minutes. Each subsequent lightening strike resets the 30 minutes.

Could be a long delay with storms building behind it.

I wonder how bad this delay will mess up the rest of the tournament.

It would be fun to see how they change the format on the fly if a day or two is rained out.  We can rest assured it'll end with USCe playing for a chance to lock in an auto bid.

How late can games go in Hoover?  Game 4 tonight is looking at an 11:00 PM start time or later depending on how long Ole Miss / Auburn goes.

HogFansReunited

I really wonder how they plan on getting these games in. Still have 2 full games to play today with a 30 minute brake between games. If you figure 3 hours per game, they will be lucky to finish by 2 AM. I highly doubt they will play that late which means they will probably push game 4 to tomorrow.

Sucks for whichever team wins and has to play us tomorrow. Then again, the kids that are playing are much younger than me and can probably handle it lol.

It's just a real shame that whoever wins and draws the Hogs tomorrow will just have played into the wee hours the night before. ;D

Pitching match-up is Feigl (2-2, 3.83) for Ole Miss v. Thompson for Auburn (6-4, 2.30 era)

These teams faced each other just this past weekend with Auburn taking 2 of 3. Thompson pitched game 1 and had a no-hitter through 6 innings when they had a rain delay. He did not return to pitch after the delay. Feigl pitched 2 innings of hitless relief in Game 1.

So everything is moved back a game?  We play Thursday morning now?

HogFansReunited

Tomorrow could go several ways. Whoever wins game 4 might have to play us late tomorrow after playing very early. I wouldn't be at all surprised if our game gets pushed to early Thursday.

Sounds like they are going to try and squeeze 5 games in tomorrow but looking at the weather, I don't think that is possible. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they only get 3 games in again tomorrow.
