in one twelve time.

What is the heaviest .22 caliber bullet that you have personally seen a 1:12 twist consistently stabilize?

Last week I sprayed some 53gr TSX bullets from my  12 twist .221 fireball in quite random fashion.  Maybe with more velocity it would have been stable, but not at 2900fps.

Never had any other 22 centerfire slower than a 10 twist.  I would imagine some of the older 60grs would be fine but wouldn't think the newer VLD or TTSX length bullets of 55gr would work.  Why they still put slow twists on some 22s is a mystery.  At least a few have starting speeding up the 22-250.

I have seen others use the 60gr partition in slow twists with decent results.
If gun control worked, Chicago would look like Mayberry, not Thunderdome. http://heyjackass.com/
