You know the Allen boys woulda been pretty good QBs with perfect protection and NFL WRs.

Never seen players so coddled by a fan base

They both had plenty of critics their whole career.

You just don't like them because they ain't dope smoking southern Arkansas boys.

The concern here that will keep him from getting drafted will be hand size.  His brother had slightly larger hands when first measured, then went on a weeks-long exercise to have hand massages done repeatedly daily.  It got his hand size increased to alleviate NFL concerns.  I would hope AA would do the same.

If they were from South Arkansas you would be president of their fan club.

Didn't Austin lead the SEC in passing his junior year?

Seems like you've gotta be at least an above average QB to do that but who knows.

Ba and AA could have lead the country in passing yards, td's accuracy and Qb rating, taken the Hogs to 5 consecutive NC games with 3 wins and Iron would still complain that they were only playing because they are from NWA. He'd think some kid from a 2a school in South Ar would have done a better job.

So this may have been discussed before and I missed it, but how does David Williams all of a sudden in a brand new offense, become so successful, impress scouts etc. but could barely get on the field for a team as poor as USCe as a highly rated recruit?

I have read about the "doghouse " comments from there, but still the guy is good. IMO he was the best back on the team and maybe the best offensive player on the team this year.

Is this just a case of delayed maturation on his part, bad coaching assessment, combination of both, I doubt we will know the answer, but it is intriguing, and I really enjoyed watching him play as a Hog, just would have liked seeing him get more carries/passes.
According to honest USCe fans, Williams was recruited by Spurrier. When Muschamp came in he wanted to use "his guys". Williams was asked about it early in the season and he simply said he and Muschamp "didn't see eye to eye." Take that however you choose to
That's right, you don't want to be the man to replace the man.  You want to be the man to replace Rory Segrest.

I been around for a while but don't remember any talk of Austin being 5'10".  Could you help us out with that one as it seems to be a major point you're making here.  Maybe I missed it or maybe you're making stuff up.

Quotehttp://Quarterbacks struggled with multiple batted balls in each game. Of the 11 quarterbacks who played in Saturday's two games, the one who had perhaps the best day was Arkansas' Austin Allen.

The 6-1, 209-pound Allen showed some elusiveness in the pocket during the NFLPA Bowl and was accurate while going 6 of 9 for 75 yards. He made good decisions and completed several NFL throws.

Our leading rusher. Also, a razorback is a pig.

A pig was our leading rusher, wow, how did I miss that four legged beast!

I found this article interesting on the Hogs at this All-Star game. AA, David Williams and Tolliver mainly.

For those who kept saying Austin was only 5'10-11, bad news. We knew the guy wasn't tall by today's QB standards, but the players are measured and weighed for these games.

AA measured in at 6'0 5/8 and 212 with 9 inch hands. There are scouts from all 32 teams on hand and the consensus is that he will be a late rounder or more likely an undrafted free agent.

Their top concerns are his shoulder injured vs USCE, accuracy, footwork and a tendency to hold the ball too long. I have said all along not all of those sacks we have given up the last 2 years are the fault of the line, although the pass blocking definitely went south upon the arrival of Kurt A.

The good news is they are impressed with David Williams who was nowhere on their radar at the start of the 2017 season.

Do not have to be a NFL coach or pro scout to see and know that AA holds the ball too long. If you can count to 3, you know he holds the ball too long in the pocket. And he is slow. As for his accuracy, he had way too many games in his 2 years as starter where he would complete 75% of his passes in the 1st half with no INTs and in 2nd half, would inexplicably look like a different person...complete less than 50% and throw 2 or 3 picks. He had a lot to do with Bielema-coached teams' tendency to shut down in the 2nd half after a good 1st half.

AA will not be drafted as his brother was. He is not as good.
I don't want you to agree with me because you're weak. I want you to agree with me because you know I'm right.

If Allen isn't 5'10" or 5'11" then just maybe he is 5'12".

Can't you read?  He is not 5'12" he's 5'12 5/8".

Look, when I do the cheer I say pig just like everyone else but when I talk about the team and players it's Razorbacks.   As for who said what that goes back to another thread but the poster I responded to choose to bring it up.  JHF i'm Sure, 😉

My guess is that AA will be less than  5' 12" 9/16th at the NFL combine.

Austin just not as good as his older brother.
If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.
