It's the only way Kentucky can get their money back.

I wish the little b---- would come back!

He did exactly what he set out to do - be in the national spotlight and be a one and done. Winning a NC was never a goal

Kentucky comes to Fayetteville next season.  Bud Walton would collapse from the energy and Kentucky might literally melt from the amount of hate/anger directed towards them if Monk came back.

Wrong. A NC was also a big part of the decision. He felt like if he and Fox played together they were going to win it all.

Monk and his worthless brother are ass clowns.  F them both

Assuming he acquires PG skills, play defense and not be 1 dimensional...A lot of players to offer his current skills set at 6ft 3in...

What he posted on twitter says it all. He went to UK to help win a title and ended up getting beat by the same team that beat Arkansas, a team that he was too good for. F him and f his brother.

I hope he leaves.
Monk is in our teams head - there's no way we should have looked as bad as we did against them this year.

Wrong.we went there to play with all that other talent.and to win a NC. he failed.just like he failed in high school when Barnes shut him down. the goal at KY every year is to win a NC. so stop.MONK FAILED.

HawgnCorona

He wanted to go to Kantucky to play along side Fox and win a championship. I guess 2 of 3 aint bad, for him. LOL!!!

Malik Monk is projected to go to Philadelphia with their 1st pick in the first round. Should be Top 10. He is gone.

Maybe he will go to the rest haven for Kentucky guards, the Phoenix Suns.

Not a lottery pick but he will go in the 1st rd, so he had better go....

Look I don't like him either but he's a lottery pick probably top 5.

JIHawg

I don't like his game.  He barely plays defense and is always losing his man.  On offense, he just runs around occasionally and tries to get open for a trey.  He's not much in to the game, and doesn't do any of the grunt work like rebounding or fighting for loose balls.

I don't know why an NBA team would take him so high.

rzrbackramsfan

Man, I wonder if he looks back and thinks, I could have played for my home team, then we probably would've been better than UK, won the SEC championship, and possibly be playing in the final 4 for Arkansas.

What I wrote above is not a far fetches scenario, who would've thought!  hahaha.

Agreed agreed.

GoHogs1091

If I was a NBA GM, I wouldn't draft Monk.

His game is basically a tweener type of a game.  He really doesn't do any fundamental things well such as playing defense and rebounding.

He does jack up a lot of shots.  In the NBA, you need to be able to at least do 1 thing fundamentally well.

He went there because Him, Marcus, and Mom were taken care of money wise.

I've been saying the same thing. If he had come to Arkansas and been a team player there's a real good chance we're in the final four right now.

forrest city joe

Fox is the best player on that team, and it's not even close.Monk is an undersized 2G who does not make anyone on his team better.will be a good/not great NBA player in my opinion. i don't care if he comes back or not.

logic

Monk is predicted from 7 to 10.  If he plays 4 years he will earn  $6 to $10 million.  With that kind of money, he doesn't  need a college degree or good will from Arkansas.  He is done playing in college so we can forget about him.

At least he wasn't like Ball and just come straight out and say it directly after the game.

Ball was being honest. What's wrong with him saying so? You think there is any doubt on Monk's plans?

Exactly. It was know all along he would only play 1 year. That was never in doubt. Beside he has LeAngelo coming in next year and LeMelo (who I think is the best of them) 2 years later. He scored 92 pts in 1 game a back in Feb, against Los Osos High.

His game has NBA written all over it;  he does everything reasonably well, when he gives effort-- that's his biggest knock-- defensive effort.   His shot selection could use some tuning, but everything else is there-- including the ability to change a game with his offense.

He's not the guy who will go 1/2/3,  but he's perfectly equipped to be a second guy for a contender in a few years.   He's ahead of Booker at the same stage, for example-- and Booker just put up 70.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Yea.. you're probably right honestly.  I think he would've developed more at Arkansas.
